  • Patent number: 10060524
Abstract: A hydraulic transmission control system including a vane pump including a stroke ring defining a compartment. An outlet line and an inlet line are fluidly connected to the compartment. A control pressure chamber and a compensation chamber are defined adjacent to opposite sides of the stroke ring, each for varying a pump outlet pressure based on a pressure change within the chambers. A pump controller is connected to the outlet line and the pressure control chamber for adjusting a pressure in the pressure control chamber. The outlet line is further connected to the compensation chamber, a primary hydraulic circuit and a primary pressure control valve. A secondary hydraulic circuit is connected to the primary pressure control valve. A shift valve is disposed between the outlet line and the primary control valve and configured to selectively connect the pump controller and the primary pressure control.

  • Patent number: 9366252
Abstract: A pump has a suction region, a pressure region, and a pressure space which has an outflow region. A rotor is connected to a shaft in which rotor delivery elements are displacably received. The rotor has expelling regions connected to the pressure region by way of a first fluid path. A cold starting device is prestressed into a first functional position to shutoff a second fluid path from the pressure region to the pressure space, and is configured to be displaced counter to the prestress into a second functional position to open the second fluid path. The cold starting device is arranged in its second functional position at least in regions with a relief face which faces away from the pressure region in a relief receptacle. The relief face is loaded during operation of the pump with a pressure being smaller than a system pressure in the outflow region.

  • Patent number: 9076280
Abstract: A method for completing at least one portable data carrier connected to a completion device, wherein a completion data set that is present on the completion device is introduced into the data carrier. A security module is connected to the completion device and different authorization data sets are provided on the security module. The security module includes a management application for managing the different authorization data sets. Each of the authorization data sets exactly specifies one completion, and each of the authorization data sets is exactly associated with one completion data set. The managing application on the security module monitors the completion of the at least one data carrier according to the specification in an authorization data set selected from the different authorization data sets.

  • Publication number: 20100012732
Abstract: In a method for installing a patch in a smart card module, a loading routine is used to load a pseudo application containing the patch into the smart card module. An installation routine contained in the pseudo application is called, with the installation routine notifying a patch routine contained in the system programs of the smart card module of the patch to install the patch in a location outside the pseudo application. The technique can be used to install the patch in the field and requires only little effort and only few modifications to existing components and structures.

  • Patent number: 6477446
Abstract: A fluid pressure regulating valve, particularly for an automated clutch in the power train of a motor vehicle with a manually shiftable transmission, is adjustable by an electronic control unit which regulates the strength of alternating current being supplied to one or more electromagnets of the valve. The control unit receives signals from sensors which monitor the fluid pressure, the temperature and/or the RPM of one or more constituents of the motor vehicle, and such signals are processed into signals denoting differences between existing and desired pressures of fluid being supplied to and/or by the valve. These signals are compared with information stored in at least one memory of the control unit and denoting memorized differences between actual and desired current strengths. The memorized signals are altered when a comparison in the control unit indicates that the differences ascertained on the basis of signals transmitted by the sensors depart from differences denoted by the memorized information.

  • Patent number: 6464603
Abstract: The ratio-controlling hydraulic pressure in a continuously variable cone-pulley transmission is regulated by means of a regulating device in such a way that the control parameters of the regulating device are adjusted depending on the amounts of ratio-controlling pressure to be applied and that the regulation is performed by using the adjusted control parameters. The method includes measures for maintaining a set transmission ratio at a continuing constant level.

  • Patent number: 6358167
Abstract: In a continuously variable chain-belt transmission, a ratio-controlling pressure is selectively applied to either one or the other of two pairs of conical disks, while a belt-tightening contact pressure is applied equally in a torque-dependent amount to both disk pairs. A pump pressure generated by a pump is regulated by an offset pressure valve to a pressure level that exceeds the ratio-controlling pressure by a preset amount and at least equals the contact pressure. A current-controlled ratio-controlling valve device directs the ratio-controlling pressure to one or the other of the disk pairs depending on whether the ratio-controlling current is above or below a neutral value. The neutral current value as well as the algorithm describing the functional relationship between the ratio-controlling pressure and the current are continuously updated while the transmission is in use.
