Abstract: An heliostat includes a plane mirror and a first axis of rotation which is positioned parallel to the axis of rotation of the Earth. The solar radiation reflected by the mirror is permanently oriented toward a stationary Fresnel lens which is perpendicular to the first axis of rotation and which concentrates the solar radiation toward a stationary target. A solar field is composed of a plurality of heliostats according to such characteristics and all the first axes of rotation of which are rotated by a mechanical linkage coupled to a rod which is moved by a single motor. This arrangement reduces the total cost of the installation.
