  • Patent number: 9534100
Abstract: Apply a one component spray polyurethane foam formulation through a dispensing accessory that has a removable nozzle by independently feeding the one component spray polyurethane foam formulation and a supplementary propellant into the dispensing accessory so that they combine in the removable nozzle and are expelled from the removable nozzle at a flow rate that is greater than 40 grams of foam formulation per 15 seconds.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 13, 2013
Date of Patent: January 3, 2017
    Assignee: Doe Global Technologies LLC

  • Publication number: 20130012609
Abstract: A one-component-foam formulation contains a propellant in a concentration range of from 5 to 35 weight-percent of total formulation weight and contains at least 50 weight-percent non-liquefied inert gases based on total propellant weight, a polyol, a silicone glycol copolymer and less than 0.01 weight-percent of a cell opener based on polyol weight. An article contains five liters or more of the one-component-foam formulation within a container compressed to a pressure of at least 15 atmospheres pressure. A method for dispensing the one-component foam formulation includes providing the article and expelling the formulation from the container through a dispensing means onto a substrate and allowing the formulation to expand into a stable polymeric foam having a density of 45 kilograms per cubic meter or less.

  • Publication number: 20090130383
Abstract: A biaxially oriented film has a machine direction-orientation (MDO) ratio of more than 1.2 and a transverse direction orientation (TDO) ratio of 2.0 or less, where the MDO ratio is greater than the TDO ratio; where the film contains a polymer composition containing a first high impact polystyrene (HIPS) component with a block copolymer grafted to polystyrene, a rubbery conjugated diene content of one to seven weight percent based on first HIPS weight, less than 10 weight-percent gel concentration, an average rubber particle size of between one and 0.01 micrometers, about 40 to about 90 volume percent of the rubber particles have diameters of less than about 0.4 microns and from about 10 to about 60 volume percent of the rubber particles have diameters between about 0.4 and about 2.
