  • Patent number: 11191058
Abstract: A method for locating a tag by a network of sensors using the IEEE 802.15.4a protocol. The reference anchor of the network sends a UWB signal comprising first beacons at regular intervals, and a narrow band signal on an auxiliary channel, comprising second beacons, the second beacons being in synchronous relation with the first beacons. The tag negotiates with a coordinator anchor, via the auxiliary channel, the allocation of an elementary interval within the UWB superframe. When an elementary interval is allocated to the tag, it places its narrow band receiver in standby mode and sends a clap message in the elementary interval.

  • Patent number: 11005711
Abstract: A method for reconfiguring a network of wireless sensors in which certain nodes, referred to as coordinating anchors, emit beacon signals, and others, referred to as subordinated anchors, receive the signals only for synchronisation purposes. The whole network synchronises from peer to peer via wireless links from a primary anchor, the various nodes being further configured, via an auxiliary channel, from a central server. When a node loses its synchronisation, one or more subordinated anchors can be transformed into coordinating anchors by the central server so as to restore the synchronisation of the node. Likewise, when an electronic tag moves through the network, subordinated anchors can be transformed dynamically into coordinating anchors in order to ensure the synchronisation of the tag.

  • Patent number: 8737551
Abstract: A method and system synchronizes transmission of receive data over an asynchronous digital radio frequency interface in a wireless communication device. A timing accurate strobe (TAS) re-sampler generates, using a first timing strobe synchronized to a baseband modem clock, a second timing strobe synchronized to a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) clock. The TAS re-sampler forwards the second timing strobe to the RFIC to trigger a collection of data samples and initiates a count of RFIC clock cycles. The RFIC sends the data samples to a baseband First In First Out (FIFO) buffer over the asynchronous interface. In response to the count reaching a pre-determined number of RFIC clock cycles corresponding to a fixed delay, the TAS re-sampler triggers a reading of data from the FIFO buffer. The baseband modem receives data corresponding to the collection of data samples after a fixed delay from generation of the first timing strobe.

  • Publication number: 20020136181
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for selecting a combination of transport formats for a composite channel comprising at least two transport channels in a mobile station. The invention finds its application most particularly in third-generation mobile telecommunication systems (UMTS). To prevent the quality of service of certain applications from being considerably degraded when combinations of transport formats become temporarily invalid, there is provision to select according to the invention a combination of transport formats making it possible to guarantee a minimum bit rate for each logical channel of the mobile station.
