  • Patent number: 5096400
Abstract: A hydraulic pump which is furnished with a bushing-type closing element (11) for the purpose of damping pulsations of pressure and of the delivery flow. • Patent number: 5094599
Abstract: A radial piston pump for a brake system in automotive vehicles. The resulting system produces little noise and is split up into various circuits. The resulting system provides damping of the pressure vibrations caused by the pump pistons. The individual channels are furnished with permanently allocated damping chambers. These damping chambers are combined with the associated outlet valves to form a replaceable construction unit (damping-chamber valve) which is adapted to a given application.

  • Patent number: 4977606
Abstract: A radial piston pump has diametrically opposed pistons coupled to each other by a coupling ring mounted in circumferential grooves located adjacent the facing ends of the piston. The coupling ring is formed with axially projecting bifurcated arms received in the piston grooves. The arms are of a reversely bent undulating shape which is compressed between opposed walls of the groove to firmly couple the ring to each piston. The ring is thus supported entirely by the pistons. A central opening through the ring is expanded in the direction normal to the piston axis to provide clearance for side to side motion of an eccentric which drives the pistons in reciprocation.

  • Patent number: 4850825
Abstract: A radial piston pump with at least one pair of pistons which alternately perform working strokes and are arranged in a stationary cylinder block with working chambers comprising inlet valves and outlet valves. An eccentric shaft controls the radial movement of the pistons and an annular device connects the radially outward end portions of the pistons. To avoid friction between eccentric and pistons, provisions are made that the eccentric shaft is supported outside of the cylinder block. The radially outward end portions of the pistons project radially outwardly from the cylinders and, by way of the annular device, take support on the eccentric of the eccendtric shaft. The eccentric is rotatably supported in the annular device.

  • Patent number: 4758134
Abstract: A radial piston pump includes an axially slidable rotor which is rotatably connected to a connected shaft through a spring clutch engaging one end face of the rotor. The rotor is located in a housing or in the stator so as to constitute a frontal gap between the rotor and the housing or stator on the pressure side of the machine, through which frontal gap, during operation of the device, pressure fluid of the pressure side is permitted to be supplied to at least one sector area of that end face of the rotor opposite the spring clutch. This causes centering of the rotor by the spring clutch and by the pressure of the pressure side in such a manner that no metallic contacts occur in an axial direction and, thus, no friction losses.

  • Patent number: 4555223
Abstract: In a radial piston machine, there is provided an outer stator and an inner rotor rotatable on a control pintle provided with supply and discharge channels. The rotor contains at least one radial bore in which is slidable a spherical piston comprising an outer ball and an inner cylindrical sleeve. The radially inward end of the sleeve, which end is adapted to be acted upon by the outlet pressure of the machine, includes a sealing lip which, during operation, in particular at higher pressures, expands circumferentially and, under certain circumstances, moves in sealing abutment with the inner wall of the radial bore.

  • Patent number: 4505652
Abstract: The spherical piston pump comprises an outer stator and an inner rotor rotatable on a control pintle provided with supply and discharge channels. The rotor contains at least one radial bore in which is slidable a spherical piston including an outer ball, a cylindrical sleeve and an inner ball. The outer ball, sleeve and inner ball are not fastened to one another and can be replaced independently of each other. Annular sliding members made of low-friction and sound-damping material can be integrated into the ends of the sleeve, each of the sliding members being in line contact with the associated one of the two balls. The construction provides good volumetric efficiency even at high pressure and an improved overall efficiency of the pump.

  • Patent number: 4477125
Abstract: Hydraulic brake systems are known which comprise antiskid control valves and a pressure fluid source where pressure fluid is fed via a valve device and an antiskid control valve to a wheel brake cylinder. The pressure fluid source includes two jointly driven pumps. The disadvantage of such a system is the constant presence of a high pump output although this high output is only rarely required. Therefore, according to the present invention, an energy saving is realized by having the suction connection of a first of two jointly driven pumps connected to a pressure fluid reservoir and the suction connection of a second of two jointly driven pumps connected to the pressure fluid outlet of an antiskid control valve.

  • Patent number: 4445825
Abstract: The radial piston machine comprises a rotor-stator unit including an outer stator and an inner rotor received in a housing, with the rotor being rotatable with a connected shaft through a spring clutch engaging one rotor end face. The rotor is centered axially elastically relative to the stator. The stator includes on its periphery at least one elastic body supporting the unit in the housing in a radially elastic and substantially torsionally secured and axially located fashion. At least another sealing body provided on the periphery of the stator seals the unit relative to the housing in the area of a pressure port, such that the elastic body associated with the sealing body is not acted upon by hydraulic pressure.

  • Patent number: 4344451
Abstract: The disclosed valve device includes first, second and third user ports. A pressure accumulator connects with the first user port. With the accumulator fully charged, a pressure port connected to a pump communicates with the second user port. With the accumulator evacuated, the pressure port communicates with the first user port. In the event of a fluid demand at the third user port, the pressure port will be connected to the third user via a control valve. The control valve is a non-return valve in a channel connecting the first user port to the third user port, which opens under influence of a pressure in the first user port.

  • Patent number: 4285198
Abstract: The charging valve comprises a pressure port connected with a pressurized fluid source, a first user port which is connectible to a first user component, a second user port which is connectible to an accumulator and to a second user component of the closed center type and a valve device which is switchable dependent upon the pressure existing in the accumulator. The valve device, below a predetermined pressure in the accumulator, connects the pressure via a throttle with the second user port and, above a predetermined pressure in the accumulator, connects the pressure with the first user port. The valve device includes a closing valve which is controlled by a control pressure and the closing valve closes the connection of the pressure port with the first user port, if the pressure in the accumulator is below the predetermined pressure. Further, the closing valve can only be closed by the control pressure if the center of the second user component is open.

  • Patent number: 4252141
Abstract: The valve includes a control piston axially slidable in a cylindrical bore which controls the cross-sectional area of an orifice of a connection between the cylindrical bore communicating with a pressure port and a user port. The control piston is acted on by a spring and a pressure which is reduced relative to the pressure at the pressure port. A cushioning arrangement acting on the control piston avoids occurrence of pressure surges affecting the control piston behavior.
