  • Publication number: 20120208952
Abstract: The invention describes a novel method for deaerating liquids by adding 0.0001 to 5.0% by weight, preferably 0.0002-1.0% by weight, especially preferred 0.001-0.2% by weight of branched polyether-polysiloxane copolymers to said liquids. Only those branched polyether-polysiloxane copolymers are used in which the polyether radicals are SiC-bonded via hydrocarbon radicals to linear siloxane chains and said siloxane chains are connected to each other via SiC-bonded organic radicals, preferably divalent to decavalent, preferably divalent to tetravalent, hydrocarbon radicals, which may contain one or more heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of oxygen and nitrogen atoms.

  • Patent number: 7319119
Abstract: Oil-in-water emulsions which contain (i) 100 parts by weight of a polydimethylsiloxane (P) having aminoalkyl groups and having an amine number of at least 0.1 meq/g of polydimethylsiloxane (P), composed of units of the general formula I R1aR2bSiO(4?a?b/2),??(I) ?in which R2 are aminoalkyl radials of the formula II —R3—NR4R5,,??(II) (ii) protonating agent, (iii) water and (iv) not more than 5 parts by weight of emulsifier, are stable and provide for improved water repellency of porous and nonporous, absorptive and non-absorptive substrates treated therewith.

  • Patent number: 6165948
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for drying out rock containing immobile formation water in the intake radius of natural gas wells and gas storage wells which deliver less than 50 l of water per 1000 m.sup.3 (S.T.P.) of natural gas produced, in which a dispersion comprising the componentsA) a water-repellent active compound,B) hydrophilic water-miscible dispersion medium, with or withoutC) a dispersant renders the water-containing rock hydrophobic.
