  • Patent number: 10710569
Abstract: A method for bleeding at least one part of a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle, wherein the brake system includes a brake circuit whose pressure can be selectively increased by a pump. The increased pressure is applied by the pump to the part of the brake system to be bled for a specified period of time without opening bleed valves.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 20, 2013
Date of Patent: July 14, 2020
    Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLC
Inventors: Kim Stephen Jones, Clive John Barton, Ludwig Fein
  • Patent number: 9663074
Abstract: In the case of a method for operating a brake system in a vehicle, preferably a service brake system, in particular in a motor vehicle, it is first established whether the vehicle is stationary. If it is established that the vehicle is stationary, it is thereafter detected that the actuating member is actuated by the driver in order to leave the vehicle in the stationary condition. If it is established that the actuating member is actuated while the vehicle is stationary, a signal is generated at least to initiate the temporary under-supply of service brake medium to the operating members.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 17, 2013
Date of Patent: May 30, 2017
    Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLC
