  • Patent number: 5072717
Abstract: In a hot water distribution system, a priming device installed just ahead of a tap stores a small amount of water and continuously maintains it to the temperature of the hot water source. When the tap is opened, the water from the priming device is first drawn while the cooled down water which was stationary in the pipe coming from the heating tank refills the priming device. When the pipe is cleared of cold water the priming device is bypassed, and its stored cold water is slowly admixed in the flow of hot water to the tap.

  • Patent number: 4917142
Abstract: A device for effecting secondary circulation of water into a hot water tank not having a return opening. The arms of a T-fitting are place in series with the distribution line near the outlet port of the water tank. A return line, continuous at one end with the distal portion of the distribution line, is continuous at the other end with a relatively small internal line which lies within the leg of the T-fitting, one arm of the T-fitting, and extending through the outlet port into the water tank. A relatively low power pump and a sinking-ball valve are placed in series with the return line to cause the flow of water in the secondary circulation system to flow in one direction only.

  • Patent number: 4874300
Abstract: A step bearing with spherical gliding surfaces having a stationary mounted ceramic ball mounted on a strut, on which a magnetic rotor with a concave cap is rotating under working conditions. During operation the rotor with the cap is pressed by magnetic thrust in the direction toward the strut, while a second annular bearing member of the rotor prevents axial movement of the cap when axial forces in the direction opposite to the direction of the magnetic forces become higher than the magnetic forces.

  • Patent number: 4516721
Abstract: A heating system including a hollow body having a part of a low pressure and low temperature heating circuit therein. The hollow body has a plurality of parallel juxtaposed fluid channels formed by a pair of spaced thermoplastic wall members connected by webs to form the channels. A plurality of the channels are connected to an inlet manifold and to an outlet manifold whereby the flow of fluid in said channels is parallel over substantially the complete area of the wall members.

  • Patent number: 4471835
Abstract: A centrifugal circulation pump for a fluid heat carrier where the pump has a housing including a centrifugal impeller, an inlet pipe for admitting a first heat carrier into the housing and a discharge pipe for discharging the first heat carrier from the housing. A heat transfer means in the form of a tubular coil is positioned in the housing through which a second heat carrier flows. The centrifugal impeller moves the first heat carrier with a swirl motion in a direction parallel to the turns of the coil whereby heat is exchanged between the first and second heat carriers.

  • Patent number: 4437484
Abstract: A warm water storage system for supplying warm water to a network with water under pressure characterized in that the storage is pressureless and takes place in a ventilated container, and that between the take-off region of the container and the warm water supply network is incorporated a booster pump.

  • Patent number: 4211092
Abstract: A heat pump having a rotatable casing and impeller. The pump includes a liquid heat exchanger and an air heat exchanger both connected to the casing so as to form a rotatable unit therewith. A magnetically active rotor is magnetically coupled to the inpeller to provide a drive force for the pump. Rotation of the impeller causes the casing and heat exchanger to also rotate under the influence of reaction forces.

  • Patent number: 4047062
Abstract: The stator of a rotating electrical machine consists of radially disposed pole teeth, a magnetic circuit closure core surrounded by these pole teeth and a winding, the coils of which are inserted between the pole teeth and envelop the core.
