  • Publication number: 20230002043
Abstract: A thrust generator comprising: a motor (17), and a wing mounting (10), comprising a base (11) and a wing (2, 20), the base connected to the motor and configured to rotate the wing mounting about a stroke axis (13) within an angular stroke range, wherein the wing comprises a wing panel (24) having a first longitudinal edge (5) and a second longitudinal edge (6), the wing panel defining a wing surface (4) between the first and second longitudinal edges, and wherein the wing panel is configurable between: a first configuration in which the first longitudinal edge of the wing panel defines a leading edge and the second longitudinal edge of the wing panel defines a trailing edge; and a second configuration in which the second longitudinal edge of the wing panel defines a leading edge and the first longitudinal edge of the wing panel defines a trailing edge, the thrust generator being configured to rotate the wing mounting about the stroke axis in a first direction when the wing panel is in the first configuration

  • Publication number: 20230002044
Abstract: A wing mounting, comprising: ?a base (11); ?a wing bracket (25) pivotally mounted to the base, configured to rotate relative to the base within an operational angular range; and ?at least one biasing element configured to bias the wing bracket away from the boundaries of the operational angular range, wherein the at least one biasing element (120) is configured to bias the wing bracket within a biasing range adjacent the respective boundaries of the operational angular range, but substantially not to bias the wing bracket within an inner angular range including the middle of the operational angular range.

  • Patent number: 6056228
Abstract: A central magazine (11) of a tube feeding device of a textile machine, for example an automatic cheese winder (1), has a central unit (50) with an integrated tube transfer device and an exchangeable tube storage unit (51) fixed in place on the central unit (50). The tube transfer device comprises a vertically displaceable gripper support (16) with at least one positively controllable tube gripper (17). The storage unit (51) has several storage columns (12 to 15) arranged next to each other, each having a number of feed shafts (22) arranged atop each other. The tube grippers (17) on the gripper support (16) take the tubes (8) from the feed shafts (22) and transfer them to a tube transport carriage (20) of a tube conveying device (10) extending over the length of the machine, which carriage can be displaced between a position above the respective storage columns (12 to 15) of the central magazine (11) and interim reservoirs (9) which are a part of the winding stations.

  • Patent number: 6012671
Abstract: A tube feeding device for cheese-producing textile machines (1), has a tube magazine (11) arranged on the end of the machine, interim tube reservoirs (9) which are part of the winding stations, and a conveying device (10) for distributing the empty tubes (8) to the interim tube reservoirs of the winding stations. The conveying device (10) comprises a track (18) which horizontally extends over the length of the machine and has spaced windows (23), along which a control strip (19), which has correspondingly spaced windows (24), is displaceably seated, as well as a tube transport carriage (20), which can be displaced between the tube magazine (11) and the interim tube reservoirs (9). The tube transport carriage (20) has a magnetically actuable tube gripper device (21), which can be positively controlled by the axial displacement of the control strip (19).

  • Patent number: 5638610
Abstract: In the case of a heat setting chamber for the continuous heat setting of yarns, entry and exit openings are provided, through which transport belts are fed and onto which transport belts the yarns are placed in loops. In the area of the entry and exit openings, ventilation seals are provided, on which the heat setting medium flows against the loops from underneath. The mouths of extractor vents are arranged vertically over the ventilation seals. The heat setting medium can thus penetrate the yarn loops in the area of the entry and exit openings simultaneously from above and below.

  • Patent number: 5557862
Abstract: In the case of a process for the continuous heat setting of yarn, the yarn, laid down in loops on transport belts, is fed through a heat setting chamber which operates with superheated steam and under atmospheric pressure. Because of the entry and exit openings, the temperature inside the heat setting chamber is constant only over a part of the transport length. The chamber temperature is set slightly above the required heat setting temperature. Transport speed and chamber length are so adjusted in relation to each other than the yarn, having reached the heat setting temperature, essentially retains it along a part of the transport length.
