  • Patent number: 8710686
Abstract: A machine tool with a generator for generating electrical power is disclosed. The generator has a rotor and a stator. A coil and a magnet are arranged on the stator. The rotor is capable of moving relative to the stator and has a first region and a second region. The rotor is configured in such a way that, during a movement of the rotor relative to the stator, a magnetic flux in the coil is changed due to differences between the first and second regions in terms of their magnetic permeability and/or in terms of their geometric configuration, and an electrical voltage is induced.

    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
    Inventors: Ludwig Schoen, Florian Esenwein
  • Patent number: 8405258
Abstract: A machine tool with a generator for generating electrical power is disclosed. The generator has a stator with a coil and a rotor with a magnet. The rotor is capable of moving relative to the stator. An air gap is formed between the rotor and the stator. The stator and the rotor comprise a material with a relative permeability greater than the relative permeability of air and are arranged in such a way that magnetic lines of force of the magnet are guided in a targeted manner with respect to the coil. The air gap between the stator and the rotor is configured in such a way that a large proportion of the lines of force emanating from the magnet are guided by the stator and the rotor.

  • Patent number: 8368279
Abstract: The invention relates to a commutator for an electrical machine, having a commutator body on the outer circumference of which a plurality of electrically conductive, elongated laminations are disposed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the commutator. The laminations disposed adjacent to one another are electrically insulated from one another. The ends of the laminations, oriented toward the wire windings of an armature, are each electrically conductively connected to at least one wire end. According to the invention, it is provided that the ends of the laminations end, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the commutator, in planes offset from one another.

Date of Patent: February 5, 2013
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
    Inventors: Werner Rieker, Ludwig Schoen
  • Patent number: 8084900
Abstract: A stater of an electrical machine has a cross section, a longitudinal extension, a jacket surface, a plurality of winding holders configured so that at least one of the winding holders for receiving a field winding has a larger winding width than another of the winding holders.
