  • Patent number: 9200878
Abstract: Ammunition which includes a bullet having an effective caliber that is larger than its nominal caliber, comprised of a bullet body with a longitudinal cavity in the forward end, and one or more bores extending from the cavity to bore openings on the exterior of the bullet. In use, target media is gathered in the cavity and ejected under force through the bore openings, increasing the damage done by the bullet. Preferably, the bullet cavity and bores are filled with a polymeric or elastomeric material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 12, 2012
Date of Patent: December 1, 2015

  • Patent number: 6615529
Abstract: A firearm includes a frame having a trigger guard defined by an upper wall, a lower wall, a rear wall and a forward wall, and a trigger pivotally mounted to the frame, the trigger having a hole passing therethrough. A trigger bar is disposed in the hole and is transversely slideable therein between a fire position wherein the trigger is pivotable with respect to the frame and the firearm may be discharged, and a safe position wherein the trigger bar and the upper wall of the trigger guard interfere with one another such that the trigger is not pivotable with respect to the frame and the firearm may not be discharged. Transverse movement of the trigger bar out of the hole is prevented by contact of the trigger bar with the frame as the trigger bar is pushed in either transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 4397453
Abstract: A self-telescoping cartridge magazine spring having two-sizes of coils with the smaller ones disposed at various points along the length of the spring, such that on compression they fit completely within the outer ones. The inner and outer coils are connected by straight sections within which the transition from one size to the other is made, so that they can bend laterally in order to conform to the space available without increasing the solid-height of the spring, while providing a substantially longer free-length, and therefore available compression, than that provided by magazine springs of prior designs.
