  • Patent number: 4901512
Abstract: The invention relates to a mowing device applicable to any type of front cutting or non-front cutting mowing machine, power mower or mower driven by a tractor or other vehicle, comprising a support bar preferably rigidly fixed to the mowing machine frame, and with which there are associated, in a fixed position, guide means for a comb and for a cutting blade which overlies the comb, these latter oscillating in opposite directions longitudinally to said support bar. The comb is provided with teeth which extend forwards and are provided with tangs directed rearwardly and upwardly. Drive means are provided to cause the blade and comb to oscillate in phase opposition so as to dynamically compensate the device wholly or partly, the travel strokes of the blade and comb being preferably inversely proportional to their respective masses, the mass ratio of comb to blade being preferably between 1.5 and 3.

  • Patent number: 4580395
Abstract: A fodder conditioner, also known as a fodder squeezer, includes at least two horizontal rotating rollers, kinematic and constructional devices for securing the rollers in a mutual substantially parallel relationship, spaced apart at preset positions with respect to each other and to the ground, and a motor kinetically coupled to the rollers. At least one of the rollers is formed from an elastomeric material such as rubber, is of hollow construction, and is secured, mechanically and in an air-tight manner, to a shaft extending coaxially with the rotation axis of the rollers, with the two ends of the shaft protruding out of the roller ends.

  • Patent number: 4325699
Abstract: A suction device for a jet propeller assembly for a boat comprises a motor actuating a pump assembly and a suction conduit conveying water to the pump assembly. The suction inlet is located aft of the boat stern transom and has a rectangular minimum height cross-section with width to height ratio of 3 to 6. Preferably the suction inlet is located entirely rearwardly of the stern transom, the minimum height cross-section plane makes a 30.degree. to 60.degree. angle with the horizontal and the distance between the forward edge of the suction inlet and the pump inlet cross-section is not greater than twice the inlet cross-section diameter. Thus the suction device can be displaceably mounted with respect to the hull, no opening in the keel of the hull is necessary and the suction conduit can be located entirely aft of the stern transom. The propeller assembly efficiency and the wake dynamics are improved.

  • Patent number: 3937172
Abstract: A water jet propelling apparatus for boats forces waters by a pump through a nozzle directed astern of the boat. A curved lowerable jet-deflecting surface downwardly and forwardly deflects the water and reverses the thrust; and a pair of steerable parallel rudder blades are pivotable in unison for laterally deviating the jet. The jet-deflecting surface has symmetrical channel-like side portions which directs water escaping laterally from the clearance between the trailing edges of the rudder blades and the jet-deflecting surface forwardly towards the bow to enhance the reverse thrust, and a central portion which is complementally shaped with the welder blades for maintaining the clearance with the latter constant for various pivotal deviations of the blades.
