  • Patent number: 10808717
Abstract: A cooling tower fan hub having a ring and a disc in which in which hollows and recesses are opened in the ring and/or in the disc in order to decrease fan natural frequencies and avoid excitation by the several kind of loads that affect a fan during operation. The number, size and shape of the hollows can be adjusted to tune the fan natural frequencies around the original value.

  • Patent number: 9187192
Abstract: A method and apparatus for assembling a plurality of independently formed solid components is provided thereby forming a single delivery vehicle for a pharmaceutical or pharmaceutical-like product. The solid components can be held and fed to the apparatus via a plurality of magazines. Pusher rods and the like can be used for positioning each of the solid components. Where the components are connected via a bonding liquid, a sprayer is provided and compression pins or the like press the components with the bonding liquid together to form the final project. A rivet or other connection structure can also be used and driven through holes in each of the solid components to form the final product.

  • Patent number: 9144547
Abstract: An oral dosage form comprising, (i) an erodable core, which core comprises a pharmaceutically active weak base or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof; and (ii) an erodable coating surrounding said core, which coating comprises one or more openings extending substantially completely through said coating but not penetrating said core and communicating from the environment of use to said core; characterized in that release of the pharmaceutically active weak base or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof from the dosage form occurs through the said opening(s) by the erosion of said erodable core and through erosion of said erodable coating under pre-determined pH conditions; a process for preparing such a dosage form and the use of such a dosage form in medicine.

  • Patent number: 8858960
Abstract: A pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical-like product is provided. The product provides a plurality of components having active agents that are delivered in a single delivery entity or vehicle. The product allows for selective control of the release rates of each of the active agents while still being delivered in a single product.

  • Patent number: 8383579
Abstract: Generally the method involves identifying the concentration of each of two or more active therapeutics tailored to treat a particular patient's unique metabolism and one or more diseases, communicating that information to a producer who has multiple fixed or variable concentrations of each active available, where the producer then combines the individual concentrations of each active into single units such as a tablets or pills, and distributes those indirectly or directly to the patient.
