  • Publication number: 20150053410
Abstract: Embodiments of an apparatus, a system, and a method are provided for deliquification of a production well. The apparatus can be a production tube that receives produced fluid from a subterranean reservoir and provides a pathway for transmission of the produced fluid to a surface location. The production tube includes a nozzle disposed therewithin and an opening positioned proximate to the nozzle through which a foaming agent is introduced into the production tube. The nozzle has a first end that defines an inlet, a second end distal to the first end that defines an outlet, and a passageway extending between the first end and the second end such that the produced fluid received by the inlet is delivered to the outlet. The passageway defines a region of decreased cross-sectional area that agitates the produced fluid passing through the nozzle thereby increasing mixing of the foaming agent.

  • Publication number: 20140031874
Abstract: Devices and methods are provided for surgical retraction with a minimally invasive, maximum access surgical system. The surgical system can include anchor extensions that can be attached to bone screws. The bone screws can be inserted into a pedicle of a vertebral body. A retractor can be attached to anchor extensions connected to adjacent vertebrae on an operational side, and the retractor can be attached to anchor extensions connected to adjacent vertebrae on a contralateral side. The retractor can be used to distract the vertebral disc space between the adjacent vertebrae.

  • Publication number: 20130092373
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are provided for deliquefying a produced fluid being produced from a gas well. The apparatus can be a nozzle configured to be disposed in a production tube extending from a subsurface gas reservoir to a surface location and configured to provide a pathway for transmission of the produced fluid from the reservoir to the surface location. The nozzle generally can define a first end for receiving the produced fluid from the reservoir, a second end distal to the first end, and an inner surface extending between the ends. The inner surface can define an inwardly tapered inlet portion at the first end, an outwardly tapered outlet portion proximate the second end, and a venturi neck portion between the inlet and outlet portions. The nozzle can be configured to reduce the pressure of the produced fluid and thereby deliquefy the produced fluid passing therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20110295324
Abstract: An orthopedic fixation system includes a compression plate member, a lag screw member, and a plurality of threaded screw members for applying compression across a fracture site. The compression plate member has a generally planar body, an upper surface, and bone contacting surface. The planar body includes a plurality of through-apertures and a hinged tab member having an elongated through aperture, which is adapted to receive the lag screw member and cause the tab member to recess towards a bone divot formed in the underlying bone. The compression plate member is also adapted to receive the plurality of screw members within the through-apertures for fixably and threadably coupling the compression plate member across a fracture site. The lag screw member applies a direct compressive force across the fracture site through the deformable tab that is recessed in the bone divot.

  • Publication number: 20100106202
Abstract: A joint resurfacing system for repairing defects in the articular surface of the distal radioulnar joint. The system includes a hemiarthroplasty implant device for the ulna resulting in minimal removal of the underlying bone. The implant device includes a curved body, an interior surface and an opposed exterior surface, where the interior surface is coupled to an articular surface of an ulna bone. The system also includes a fixation device having a threaded end with the threaded end coupled to the implant device in order to apply a compressive force on the implant device. the fixation device may be selected from either a dynamic fixation device or a static screw device.

  • Publication number: 20090254190
Abstract: A carpometacarpal joint replacement system for replacing the trapezium bone in the hand is provided. The system includes a trapezial implant for the carpometacarpal joint resulting in replacement of the carpal trapezium bone with a prosthesis having the same anatomical configuration as the trapezium bone. The implant device comprises a plurality of concave surfaces, with the plurality of concave surfaces articulating with the carpal and metacarpal bones.
