  • Publication number: 20170074038
Abstract: A motorized roller shade that detects obstacles in its travel that create excess torque by sensing the current draw from a motor and method by which the motor can calibrate itself to detect excess torque. During the roller shade's travel, it will record the instantaneous torque being generated at various points. For example, it will store the greatest value in the shade motor's non-volatile memory as the normal operating torque.

  • Patent number: 8609361
Abstract: This invention corresponds to an in vitro method that employs an electrophysiology technique; in particular, an embodiment of the patch-clamp technique in its perforated type, which will allow us evaluating the neurotoxic capacity of protein structures associated to the generation of neurodegenerative diseases. It addition, it allows evaluating potential pharmacologic capacities of candidate molecules (drugs) in order to prevent, treat, or cure the said diseases. The invention involves the use of peptides that cause neurodegenerative diseases in order to form a spontaneous perforated recording that only occurs with peptides in the patch clamp glass pipette.

  • Publication number: 20100191562
Abstract: A supply-chain of an enterprise is monitored and managed using a system that acquires information from a plurality of supply-chain databases and generates reports based on the acquired information. In some examples, a plurality of common data fields for the plurality of databases are determined, data regarding one or more procurement items from each of the plurality of databases is acquired, wherein the data for each of the one or more procurement items comprises data corresponding to each of the common data fields, and one or more reports about the one or more procurement items are generated based on the requested data.

  • Publication number: 20080307561
Abstract: A dorag head covering of one continuous piece of material including opposite tie straps extending sideways out from a front region for being tied around the head. Since the dorag is made of one continuous piece of material, its front region is smooth and seamless. With no seam in the front region of the dorag, no seam line impression forms in the hair after the dorag is removed. The rear region is formed of two flaps seamed together at neighboring edges to form a cap. The blank for forming the dorag is described and a method for forming the dorag from the blank is described.

  • Patent number: 7150126
Abstract: Upper and lower window track strips each define an elongate panel receptacle of generally rectangular configuration for receiving an edge portion of a structural panel in tight fitting serration retained relation therein. The upper and lower window track strips define wall structures forming a pair of upper and lower window guide tracks, respectively, thereby allowing a pair of window panes to be moved in sliding fashion between the upper and lower guide tracks to open or close the windows. The upper window guide tracks are deeper than the lower window guide tracks to permit the window panes to be moved upwardly and laterally for removal. Rainwater collected within the lower guide tracks drains at the ends of the lower guide tracks or via drain holes therein. The lower window track strip is provided with a resilient cushion strip to protect objects such as guns, camera lenses and the like that contact the lower window track strip.
