    Abstract: An outdoor battery operated lighting system includes a solar panel for recharging a battery contained in a junction box. The junction box has a depending rod thereon for being rammed into the ground to obtain a self-standing lighting system. The junction box also two lateral flexible arms attached thereto for movably adjusting the light beams of lamp heads attached at the ends of each of the arms. The junction box also has an upstanding tube thereon which has a sola panel attached at its top. The upstanding tube contains a ball joint therein so that the solar panel can be directed into different directions to best utilize the sun's rays. A timing circuit is included in the junction box which turns off the lighting circuit in inclement weather to conserve the energy level of the battery.
