  • Publication number: 20230105349
Abstract: A method for prediction of a head impact event mechanism via an instrumented mouthguard device comprises receiving, as input, time series data representative of a head impact event, wherein the time series data is derived from the instrumented mouthguard device. The instrumented mouthguard device includes one or more accelerometers. The method further comprises generating an array of spatial coordinates representing points on a computer head model, and processing the time series data to determine a direction of impact and location of impact relative to the computer head model.

  • Publication number: 20230008811
Abstract: Technology facilitates dynamic variability of head impact data recordal, for example, in the context of instrumented mouthguard devices. Some embodiments have been developed to facilitate an event recoding protocol that dynamically adjusts event recoding parameters thereby to provide appropriate data for both “short” and “prolonged” impact events. For example, various embodiments include methods for recording impact events in respect of an instrumented mouthguard device, such methods including dynamically adjusting a period of time for which event data is recorded for a given event responsive to length of time for which an over-threshold condition persists.

  • Publication number: 20220104712
Abstract: An imaging examination analysis method includes receiving a patient data set for a patient including measurements for a set of variables relating to a chronic medical condition, such as aortic stenosis (AS), obtained by an imaging examination of the patient. For one or more future time intervals, a likelihood is generated of a predetermined grade of the chronic medical condition (e.g. likelihood of severe AS grade) for the patient at the future time interval. The likelihood is generated using a classifier trained on training data sets for past patients. A follow-up imaging examination date recommendation is determined based on the likelihoods. An inconsistent measurement for the patient may be identified as a measurement whose value compared with a prior measurement for the same variable is consistent with an improvement in the chronic medical condition of the patient between the time of the prior measurement and a present time.
