  • Publication number: 20240039324
Abstract: Controllers and control methods for a power system are disclosed. The controllers can be configured to perform operations for correcting a state of a first node of the power system. The operations can include obtaining rules for correcting the state of the first node, each rule specifying a corrective action for the first node. The operations can further include obtaining instructions for the first node, the instructions at least partially specifying a configuration of the first node. The operations can further include generating a forecast for the state of the first node based on the instructions and monitoring the state of the first node. Based on the forecast state and the monitored state of the first node, the controller can select one of the rules and apply the corrective action specified by the selected rule to correct the state of the first node.

  • Publication number: 20230420931
Abstract: This application discloses a system that may comprise at least a portion of a supply network. The system may further comprise a load controller that controls current flow with a current level of I1 into a load network that provides power to one or more loads from the at least a portion of the supply network according to a preprogrammed load curve. The system may also comprise a protection system that isolates the at least a portion of the supply network from the load controller in response to detecting a current pattern that is inconsistent with the preprogrammed load curve.

  • Publication number: 20220231538
Abstract: Multi-mode management systems are disclosed. Such systems include a first controller and a second controller. The first controller can be configured to control a power system. The second controller can have two modes. The second controller can be configured to, when in a first mode, estimate a state of the power system by monitoring communications between the first controller and the power system, and in response to satisfaction of a first condition, switch to the second mode. The second controller can be configured to, when in the second mode, disable communication between the first controller and the power system and control the power system based on the estimated state of the power system.

  • Publication number: 20210203185
Abstract: A community DC power distribution system is provided including a community node comprising a voltage source, a first switch, and a second switch; and a power distribution loop. The power distribution loop can include power distribution lines. First power distribution lines can be grounded through first sensor resistors and electrically connected to the first switch, first local nodes, and a third switch. Second power distribution lines can be grounded through second sensor resistors and electrically connected to the second switch, second local nodes, and the third switch. The community node can be configured to provide power (i) to the first local nodes via the first power distribution lines and the first switch when the first switch is in a closed state; and (ii) to the second local nodes via the second power distribution lines and the second switch when the second switch is in a closed state.

  • Publication number: 20150162840
Abstract: A method of operating a resonant DC-DC converter is provided where the resonant DC-DC converter includes a high voltage boost LLC circuit. The method includes providing variable power flow control to the LLC circuit with externally determined input and output voltages using frequency control. Frequency control is applied such that it emulates different loading conditions. For fixed input and output voltages this corresponds to operating along horizontal curves on the voltage gain compared to the switching frequency operating plane.
