  • Publication number: 20230079865
Abstract: A computer system for identifying merchant category code misclassifications includes at least one processor in communication with a transaction database and a merchant database. The transaction database stores transaction records by a plurality of account holders. The processor generates a first MCC profile including at least one transaction characteristic representative of merchants properly classified as the first MCC and comparing the first MCC profile to a second set of transaction records. If the comparison satisfies a comparison threshold for the first MCC the processor identifies the corresponding selected merchant as being MCC misclassified.

  • Patent number: 11514533
Abstract: A computer system for identifying merchant category code misclassifications includes at least one processor in communication with a transaction database and a high-risk merchant database. The transaction database stores transaction records by a plurality of account holders. The high-risk merchant database stores high-risk merchant records each associated with high-risk merchants. The processor queries the transaction database for transaction records and calculates a high-risk cardholder metric for each of the account numbers. The at least one processor further queries the transaction database for transaction records including (i) the account number of high-risk cardholders, and (ii) a merchant identifier associated with other than the plurality of high-risk merchants, to retrieve a second set of transaction records. The at least one processor further calculates a high-risk merchant metric for each of the merchant identifiers, identifying a MCC misclassified merchant.

  • Publication number: 20040062892
Abstract: A protective cover for protection of agricultural products comprises a fibrous nonwoven fabric exhibiting sufficient vapour permeability to permeability to permit transmission of gases through the cover while retarding passage of dust and insects. The protective cover is provided in a tubular configuration sized to permit the cover to be positioned generally about associated agricultural products, with the cover being particularly suited for use on products prior to harvest, such as bananas. The cover may be formed from fibrous and/or filamentary elements, and may be formed from fibrous material selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic polymers, thermoset polymers, natural fibers, and combinations thereof. The nonwoven fabric may be formed with protection-enhancing agents such as insecticidal, fungicidal, algaecidal, decay-inhibiting, and UV-protective agents. The nonwoven fabric may be pigmented as desired.

  • Patent number: 4277680
Abstract: A neutron poison test device for verifying that high density spent nuclear fuel racks contain neutron poison (a substance that absorbs neutrons without inducing a nuclear fission which produces more neutrons) comprises a can having a square cross-section, which contains a fast neutron source and neutron moderator, and four square cans each containing a thermal neutron detector, one detector can positioned opposite each of the four walls of the source can. The five cans are carried at the lower ends of five elongated tubes, which are connected together at the top by a structure having means for receiving the lifting hook of a hoist or crane. A neutron shield having a hollow square cross-section is supported for sliding movement on the center tube and is adapted to envelop the source can when the test device is outside the high density storage rack. Each of the four walls of the sliding shield contains a Boral plate or other thermal neutron absorber plate.
