  • Patent number: 10455685
Abstract: An electronic device may include a circuit board, and the circuit board may include a dielectric material. A socket may be coupled to a first side of the circuit board, and the socket may be configured to receive a semiconductor package. A backing plate may be positioned on a second side of the circuit board. A spacer may be positioned between the backing plate and the circuit board. The spacer may alter the profile of the socket to provide a curved profile to the socket. The spacer may displace a portion of the socket in a first direction, for instance when the spacer is coupled between the backing plate and the circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20170242040
Abstract: The invention relates to methods for determining the likelihood that a patient with mild cognitive impairment develops Alzheimer's disease based on the determination of the levels of different metabolites, including amino acids, proteins and lipids. The invention also provides a method for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment in a subject based on the determination of the above metabolites.

  • Publication number: 20150161449
Abstract: A multiple-camera video surveillance system includes a first camera configured to stream compressed video and a second camera configured to take high-resolution snap shots, the first and second camera having overlapping views of a single location. An electronic storage medium stores compressed live video and/or high-resolution snap shots taken by the cameras. A processing device is configured to store data from the first and second camera in the electronic storage medium and assign datestamps to the stored data.

  • Publication number: 20100177692
Abstract: A method and device for managing a communication session via a plurality of wireless carriers in a wireless communication network (100) is disclosed. The network includes a plurality of regions. The method at a first network-controller (108) in a first region (104) of the plurality of regions includes maintaining the communication session with a communication device (112) in a second region (106) of the network via a first set of wireless carriers of the plurality of wireless carriers when the communication device moves from the first region (104) to the second region. Each wireless carrier of the plurality of wireless carriers corresponds to one or more distinct data-packets. The method also includes the one or more distinct data-packets being provided to the communication device via the first set of wireless carriers.

  • Patent number: 5500941
Abstract: A method of performing software validation testing on large electronic systems applies Usage Concepts specially modelled as Markov chains to forrealize the expected use of the system, to define the system behavior, and to introduce statistical measurements. The functional requirements of the software system are defined in a Markov chain by identifying a plurality of states through which the software system transitions when performing the functional requirements. Stimuli and responses which cause the software system to transition from one state to another are identified, and the probability of each state transition is calculated. Usage cases beginning at an invocation state and ending at a termination state of the software system are defined and listed in order of descending probability of occurrence in a Usage Profile. The Usage Profile, stimuli, and responses are automatically compiled into an automated test program, and associated test equipment is automatically programmed to generate a set of test cases.

  • Patent number: 4119092
Abstract: A method of reduction of bone fractures is described wherein two segments of a broken bone are drawn together by means of a plate extending across both segments, securing one end of the plate to one segment of bone, securing the other side of the plate through a slot in the plate to the other segment of bone, and applying a tool having a pinion engaging another slot in the plate provided with a rack, a pin on the end of the tool engaging a hole in the bone, so that upon rotation of the tool the two segments of bone are drawn together. A jig for drilling the necessary holes for securing the segments is also described.
