Publication number: 20210276708Abstract: Split-tiltwing aircraft and related methods. The aircraft comprise a wing assembly comprising a forward wing segment and a rear wing segment. The wing assembly is configured to be transitioned among a forward thrust configuration, in which the forward and rear wing segments define a continuous airfoil shape, and a plurality of pitched thrust configurations, in which the forward and rear wing segments are spaced apart. The forward wing segment is configured to be tilted among a forward thrust position and a plurality of pitched positions. The methods comprise controlling elevation of the aircraft by controlling vectored thrust from propulsion units, and transitioning the aircraft to a cruise configuration by tilting the forward wing segment from a pitched position to a forward thrust position, in which the forward and rear wing segments define the continuous airfoil shape, and supplying forward vectored thrust to the aircraft with the propulsion units.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2020Publication date: September 9, 2021Inventor: Luis Gonzalez

Publication number: 20130296082Abstract: A stand-alone, rigid lacrosse pocket is formed from a piece of mesh netting that is shaped to exhibit a desired pocket contour. Once shaped, a coating of stiffening material is applied to the netting and embeds within the shaped mesh netting to “fix” the desired pocket contour and form a rigid lacrosse pocket. The rigid lacrosse pocket is thereafter attached to a conventional lacrosse head, using the same stringing technique as commonly used to attach the mesh netting to the head. Advantageously, by pre-fabricating the lacrosse pocket, the need to “work” the netting into the desired shape is eliminated, and a player can quickly and easily change pockets as necessary. A method of fabricating the stand-along, rigid lacrosse pocket is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2013Publication date: November 7, 2013Inventor: Luis Gonzalez

Publication number: 20130215279Abstract: A method for creating and displaying points of interest in video test results comprises obtaining a plurality of video test results, each of the plurality of video test results corresponding to a tester, and for each of the plurality of video test results, displaying the video test results, receiving at least one indicator of a point of interest in the video test results, receiving a text comment associated with the point of interest, and saving a timestamp that indicates a position in the video test results of the point of interest and a text comment in a memory. Then a graphical user interface is created that displays the timestamp and text comment of each point of interest in the plurality of test video results, where selection of a point of interest causes the corresponding video test result to be displayed beginning at the timestamp of the selected point of interest.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2012Publication date: August 22, 2013Inventors: Alejandro Rivas-Micoud, Ariel Rivas-Micoud, Francisco Erlich, Luis Gonzalez

Publication number: 20130209070Abstract: One embodiment of a method for creating composite video test results includes obtaining a screenshot video of a test display, obtaining a camera video of a tester interacting with the test display, and dividing the screenshot video and camera video into segments. A plurality of composite video segments are then created, where each composite video segment is a composite of one of the plurality of camera video segments and one of the plurality of screenshot video segments. The plurality of composite video segments are then combined into a composite video. In one embodiment, audio data of the tester is combined with the composite video to create a composite audiovisual file. The composite video may be played back by a web browser in such a way that a viewer perceives the composite video as two separate videos that are synchronized.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2012Publication date: August 15, 2013Inventors: Alejandro Rivas-Micoud, Ariel Rivas-Micoud, Francisco Erlich, Luis Gonzalez

Publication number: 20110277582Abstract: A control panel for a communications system of an aircraft has at least one transmitter and at least one receiver, with multiple transmission and reception channels, and multiple operating elements that have an on/off function, in each instance. Each operating element is assigned to one of the transmission and reception channels. Reception on the transmission and reception channel, in each instance, can be released by the on/off function. A selection switch has a selection position for each transmission and reception channel, in which it releases the related transmission and reception channel for the transmission and blocks the other transmission and reception channels for transmission. The selection switch has a further selection position, in which it releases the transmission and reception channels that are released for reception by the operating elements, for transmission, and blocks the other transmission and reception channels for transmission.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 27, 2011Publication date: November 17, 2011Applicant: Becker Flugfunkwerk GmbHInventors: Dieter Hilzinger, Luis Gonzalez

Publication number: 20080299373Abstract: A method of producing a composite part having a multicoloured surface and to a composite part having a multicoloured surface. The method contains the steps: (a) producing a multicoloured plastic film which has a groove in the area of the coloured regions adjacent to one another, (b) positioning the plastic film in a cavity of a tool, (c) partly drawing in the film regions lying along the groove into the interior of the cavity of the tool with the film regions drawn into the interior of the cavity simultaneously or subsequently being brought together for closing a recess, produced by the partial drawing-in of the film, between the film and the surface of the tool, (d) back foaming and/or back moulding the film. The method allows composite parts to be produced with a neater parting line between the individual coloured regions.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 17, 2006Publication date: December 4, 2008Inventor: Luis Gonzalez

Publication number: 20060271416Abstract: A method by which a sponsor (24) audits convention registrants attending an event who occupy rooms at hotels (26a-26D) that the registrant does not book through the sponsor's housing provider (32). Before the event, the sponsor (24) arranges a commitment from hotels (26A-26D) for a block of rooms during the event. The auditing method includes producing an out-of-block list (64) that identifies registrants who do not appear in an in-block list (56). The out-of-block list (64) is stored on a housing-audit computer (52) from which the hotels (26A-26D) download copies. The hotels (26A-26D) in producing a match list (82) find matches between their guest list (76) and the downloaded copy of the out-of-block list (64). After validating and accepting matches between the lists (64, 76), the hotels (26A-26D) upload the match list (84) to the housing-audit computer (52) for use in producing audit reports (88) supplied to the sponsor (24).Type: ApplicationFiled: April 18, 2006Publication date: November 30, 2006Inventors: Richard Morgan, Luis Gonzalez, Chris Mole
