    Abstract: Certain examples described herein relate to a carriage assembly for an additive manufacturing system. The carriage assembly comprises a movable carriage to move over a build zone of the additive manufacturing system, a thermal sensor device on the carriage to obtain thermal data associated with a region of build material in the build zone, radiation device on the carriage to apply radiation onto the build material. The radiation device is configurable between a preheating mode, to apply radiation onto the region of build material to raise a surface temperature thereof, and a fusing mode, to apply radiation onto the region of build material to selectively fuse at least part of the region of build material.

    Abstract: Material transporting devices are provided that include a housing, a loading port, a first inlet channel, two or more rotary discs, an outlet abutment channel, and an outlet abutment member. The first inlet channel of the housing is in communication with a flow of a mixture that includes a liquid and a viscosity modifier, in which the first inlet channel supplies at least a portion of the mixture into the flow path of the device. The mixture when combined with the flow of material within the flow path further compacts the material of the solid mass to inhibit the passage of the flow of high-pressure conveying gas from the discharge chamber, through the solid mass, and into the device. Material transporting systems are provided that include the material transporting devices. Methods are provided for transporting materials using embodiments of the material transporting devices and the material transporting systems.

    Abstract: The present application provides an attritor for reducing particles in size. The attritor may include a tank, one or more screens therein, a number of arms rotating therein, and a grinding media therein. The screens define a number of chambers therein such that the arms and the grinding media reduce the size of the particles in a first chamber to a first predetermined size and reduce the size of the particles in a second chamber to a second predetermined size.
