  • Patent number: 11926654
Abstract: The present invention describes fusion proteins based on cytokines, called bi-cytokines (BC), specifically formed by the binding of an IL2 agonist mutein with a type I interferon (IFN), linked by an Fc region of a mutant human IgG1 and a connector peptide. The combination of an IL2 agonist mutein and a type I IFN in the structure of the bi-cytokines gives surprising immunoregulatory properties to these molecules and a superior therapeutic effect than that of parental cytokines, or their combination, which makes them attractive and novel molecules for the treatment of cancer. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising as an active ingredient the fusion proteins object of this patent are also described.

  • Patent number: 10136824
Abstract: Example apparatus and methods perform magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF) for arterial spin labeling (ASL) based parameter quantification. ASL with MRF produces a nuclear magnetic resonance signal time course from which simultaneous quantification of ASL perfusion-related parameters can be achieved. The parameters may include cerebral blood flow, transit time, T1, or other parameters. The quantification uses values from a dictionary of signal time courses that were generated or augmented using Bloch simulation, knowledge of the sequence, or previous observations. The dictionary may account for inflow or outflow of labeled spins and may model arterial input. An ASL-MRF pulse sequence may differ from conventional pulse sequences. For example, an ASL-MRF pulse sequence may include non-uniform control pulses, non-uniform label pulses, non-uniform post labeling delay time, non-uniform background suppression pulses, non-uniform acquisition repetition time, or non-uniform acquisition flip angle.

  • Patent number: 9744373
Abstract: An improved apparatus is provided for transcranial magnetic stimulation in a brain of a subject. The apparatus is comprised of: a plurality of coils electrically connected in series to each other; and a single source of current electrically coupled to one of the plurality of coils. Each coil may include one or more windings of similar dimensions although the size of the windings varies between coils. Each of the coils is further dimensioned to stimulate brain tissue at a given distance while minimizing volume of the brain tissue excited by the magnetic field. During operation, the current source injects time varying current into the coils to create a magnetic field which in turn induces electric fields and eddy-currents inside the brain tissue of the subject.

  • Patent number: 8791699
Abstract: This disclosure is generally drawn to methods, systems, appliances and/or apparati related to obtaining magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images. More specifically, the disclosure relates to obtaining MRI images using arterial spin labeling (ASL) and blood-oxygen-level dependence functional magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-fMRI) techniques. In some examples, a method of obtaining magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) image(s) is provided. An example method may include providing arterial spin labeling (ASL) labeling, obtaining at least one ASL acquisition after ASL labeling, and obtaining at least one blood-oxygen-level dependence functional magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-fMRI) acquisition after ASL labeling.
