  • Patent number: 9447660
Abstract: A subsea containment system for capturing fluids leaking from a subsea well includes a clamping assembly and a storage system. The clamp assembly includes an annular clamp body configured to be disposed about the upper end of the well and a fluid outlet extending from the clamp body. The fluid outlet is in fluid communication with an inner cavity of the clamp body. The storage system is coupled to the fluid outlet of the clamping assembly. The storage system includes a first storage tank having an inlet in fluid communication with the inner cavity of the clamp body and a plurality of vertically spaced outlets.

  • Patent number: 9284806
Abstract: A system for pulling a subsea structure includes an adapter configured to be mounted to an upper end of a subsea pile. In addition, the system includes an interface assembly fixably coupled to the adapter. The interface assembly includes a first channel configured to receive a flexible tension member and a first chuck disposed in the first channel. The tension assembly includes a second channel configured to receive the flexible tension member and a second chuck disposed in the second channel. Each chuck is configured to pivot about a horizontal axis between an unlocked position allowing the flexible tension member to move in a first axial direction and a locked position preventing the tension member from moving in a second axial direction that is opposite the first axial direction.

  • Publication number: 20130301497
Abstract: Wi-Fi proximity considerations within single user, multiple user, multiple access, and/or MIMO wireless communications. Communications between a 1st wireless communication device (WDEV) (e.g., mobile) and a 2nd WDEV (e.g., terminal) are effectuated using wireless local area network (WLAN) based communications. Such communications may be adaptively performed based on at least one of proximity of the 1st WDEV to the 2nd WDEV and a predetermined movement of the 1st WDEV with respect to the 2nd WDEV or an object associated with the 2nd WDEV. For example, such a transaction may be effectuated between the 1st WDEV and the 2nd WDEV based on at least one (e.g., any one, any combination, any sub-combination, etc.) of received signal strength indicator (RSSI), angle of arrival (AoA), and time of flight (ToF) associated with at least one communication between the 1st WDEV and the 2nd WDEV.
