Patent number: 11847477Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for natively interpreting logic across disparate platforms. Rather than executing server calls that are computationally expensive, logic may be extracted into code segments that can be evaluated at run time by an interpreter. The interpreter is passed a set of evaluators, features, and contextual data, each of which is expressed in a domain specific language. An evaluator maps an identifier to a rule and describes one or more contextual data fields with which the rule is to be evaluated. A feature corresponds to a logical condition that identifies the evaluator and a return value that is returned if the condition is met. The interpreter identifies the evaluator from the feature being evaluated and evaluates its corresponding rule based on the contextual data provided to return a return value. One or more operations may be performed based on the return value provided.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2021Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Luis Jaime Botero

Publication number: 20230190015Abstract: A frame apparatus for displaying an article. The frame apparatus includes a support structure having a frame and a backer panel. A plurality of slots are formed into the backer panel that include a first slot that is elongated along a first axis that is parallel to top and bottom edges of the support structure and a second slot that is elongated along a second axis that is parallel to lateral edges of the support structure. The frame apparatus may include a hanging element for hanging the support structure from a support surface such as a wall. The hanging element may be configured to be slidably coupled to the support structure such that the hanging element can slide back and forth within one of the slots while remaining coupled to the support structure. This structure enables the frame apparatus to move side-to-side along the support surface while hanging therefrom.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2023Publication date: June 22, 2023Inventors: Luis Jaime Hernandez, Martin Zamorano Fragoso, Michael Lee Pyle, Robert Terry Coyle, JR., Matthew Scott Kressin

Patent number: 11138287Abstract: To reduce the amount of data sent to a device to generate a webpage, a requesting device provides an indication of locally stored templates. Multiple webpages may use similar code represented by a single template. If the requested webpage is associated with a stored template, a response provided to the device includes an indication of the template and webpage code that corresponds to portions of the webpage not included in the template. The requesting device then generates a first portion of the webpage using code in the template and a second portion using the received webpage code. If the requested webpage is associated with a template not indicated in the request, both the template and code that corresponds to the second portion of the webpage are sent. The requesting device then stores the template for future use when accessing the same or a similar webpage associated with the same template.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2019Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: AMAZON TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventor: Luis Jaime Botero

Publication number: 20100001247Abstract: A barrier system includes a plurality of barriers, each barrier having a first end and a second end, and one or more posts. Each post includes a center wall having a first end and a second end. A first wall extends from the center wall first end, and a second wall extends from the first wall such that the center wall, first wall and second wall define a first channel capable of receiving one of the first end and second end of a first barrier. A third wall extends from the center wall second end, and fourth wall extends from the third wall such that the center wall, third wall and fourth wall define a second channel capable of receiving one of the first end and second end of a second barrier.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2009Publication date: January 7, 2010Inventor: Luis Jaimes
