  • Patent number: 11826621
Abstract: A putter with a putter head that has a rear hollow cavity enclosed within the putter head body to help move the center of gravity forward and a shaft axis that intersects the center of gravity of the putter head within a predetermined range is disclosed. The putter head may have a heel counterweight to move the center of the gravity of the putter head to the desired direction. The hollow cavity in the putter head may extend from a heel region to the toe region of the putter head. • Publication number: 20220273988
Abstract: A golf ball is disclosed comprising dimple-free zones; such dimple-free zones may be substantially free of surface irregularities, and may be used by a player to align a shot. Unintentional spin and trajectory deviations may be avoided or minimized when a putt or other low-speed shot strikes the golf ball on such a dimple-free zone. In some applications, a plurality of dimple-free zones may be disposed in locations that are distributed symmetrically on a surface of the ball. Methods of manufacturing such a golf ball are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20090125023
Abstract: Surgical instruments include a handle, gas and electrical conduits, a hollow elongated electrode, elongated insulating sheath, and actuator mechanism. The handle has distal and proximal ends, the proximal end branching to form two arm-like portions and the distal end widening to form a tubular body portion having features sized for receiving at least an index finger and a thumb. Gas and electrical conduits are disposed within the handle for connection to external gas and electrical sources. A hollow elongated electrode extends from the handle, defines a gas conduit along its length, and is operably coupled to the gas and electrical conduits. An elongated insulating sheath encloses the electrode. An actuator mechanism alternates between two states to turn the instrument on and off. A sheath actuator slidably retracts and extends the elongated insulating sheath to increase or decrease exposure of the electrode. Methods for operating electrosurgical instrument are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080091142
Abstract: An injector system includes a source of injection fluid, a pump device, a fluid path set disposed between the source of injection fluid and the pump device, a fluid control device operatively associated with the fluid path set and a hand held control device for controlling the flow rate of the injection fluid. The hand held control device includes a piston slideably disposed within a chamber and adapted to engage a switch that controls the flow rate of the injection fluid. The fluid control device is adapted to permit purging of air from the fluid path set and to stop flow of the injection fluid to a patient at substantially any pressure or flow rate generated by the pump device for delivering a sharp bolus of the injection fluid to the patient. The fluid control device is preferably part of the fluid path set between the source of injection fluid and the pump device.

  • Publication number: 20050104444
Abstract: A pressure isolation mechanism for use in a medical procedure includes a lumen, an isolation port in fluid connection with lumen, and a valve having a first state and a second state. The first state occurs when the lumen and the isolation port are connected. The second state occurs when the lumen and the isolation port are disconnected. The lumen remains open for flow of fluid therethrough in the first state and in the second state. The valve is normally in the first state and is switchable to the second state when fluid pressure in the lumen reaches a predetermined pressure level. A pressure transducer can be in fluid connection with the isolation port of the pressure isolation mechanism A fluid delivery system includes a manually operated syringe and a pressure isolation mechanism as described above.
