  • Publication number: 20240109657
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a fuselage, a pair of fixed wings attached to the fuselage, a tail assembly attached to an aft portion of the fuselage and including a pair of stabilizers, a plurality of distributed propulsion units having first propellers that rotate about first rotational axes positioned below the fixed wings, and a plurality of tail propulsion units having second propellers that rotate about second rotational axes each positioned inline with one of the stabilizers. The first propellers are mounted fore of the fixed wings and the second propellers are mounted fore of a corresponding one of the stabilizers. Three or more of the distributed propulsion units are mounted to each of the fixed wings.

  • Publication number: 20240084804
Abstract: The present invention contemplates the distribution and network connection of instrumentation units, wherein each consists of a firmware based on a microcontroller and temperature and vibration sensors. These units, designated as measurement nodes, are installed at various points along the casing of the pieces of equipment that make up a subsea submersible centrifugal pump (SCP), enabling the characterization of temperature profiles and different modes of vibration throughout the body of the drive, opening the possibility of relating the operational condition to the measured data and of performing predictive actions that promote the increase of the useful life of the pieces of equipment. The present invention also contemplates the boarding of a microcontroller unit for processing the sensor signals. In addition to processing vibration components sampled at high frequency, the microcontroller unit will enable the transmission of such signals at low frequency to the platform.

  • Patent number: 11891164
Abstract: A technique of operating an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) adapted for a package delivery mission includes: powering distributed propulsion units during takeoff and landing segments of the package delivery mission and idling at least a portion of the distributed propulsion units while powering a pair of outboard propulsion units during a cruise segment of the package delivery mission. The distributed propulsion units are mounted below fixed wings of the UAV and have first propellers mounted fore of the fixed wings. The outboard propulsion units are each mounted to a corresponding one of the fixed wings outboard of the distributed propulsion units. The outboard propulsion units include outboard propellers having a larger diameter than the first propellers.

  • Publication number: 20230192290
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes lift rotors and control rotors. The lift rotors are mounted to the UAV and oriented to provide a first vertical thrust to the UAV. The control rotors are mounted to the UAV outboard of the lift rotors and oriented to provide a second vertical thrust to the UAV. The control rotors are each smaller than any of the lift rotors.

  • Publication number: 20070169220
Abstract: According to the invention, there is provided a novel soybean variety designated 98Y11. This invention thus relates to the seeds of soybean variety 98Y11, to the plants of soybean 98Y11 to plant parts of soybean variety 98Y11 and to methods for producing a soybean plant produced by crossing plants of the soybean variety 98Y11 with another soybean plant, using 98Y11 as either the male or the female parent.

  • Patent number: 6581513
Abstract: A modular barbecue including a central portion, four lower support legs, and an upper portion. The central portion, made of refractory concrete, is a parallelepipedic body with rectangular base and two chambers, one frontal roasting chamber where foods, placed on a vertically movable steel grill, are roasted, and a rear combustion chamber in which solid fuel or charcoal is transformed into embers that, by actuating on a crank, fall onto the rear chamber bottom. The combustion chamber has its own access gate to introduce the solid fuel or charcoal. The upper portion has two truncated pyramidal pieces with respective conducts for smoke evacuation, a frontal conduct for smoke from the roasting chamber and a rear conduct for smoke from the combustion chamber. Both conducts have respective inner protecting pieces. This upper portion has, on top, a double conduct chimney.
