  • Publication number: 20230301641
Abstract: An endoscopic vein harvesting system may include an endoscope including a proximal end having one or more of a collar or a handle and including a distal end. The system may include a component formed from a transparent material and configured to couple to the distal end of the endoscope. The system may include one or more visual indicators formed on or within a selected portion of the component. In some implementations, the one or more visual indicators may assist a harvester to determine a position of the component relative to a vein to be harvested.

  • Publication number: 20230268063
Abstract: A device may include a light source, an interface, and a microcontroller unit (MCU). The light source may emit light toward a treatment surface to produce an optical indicator. The interface may be configured to receive input data to change a status of a time out procedure. The MCU may be coupled to the light source and the interface. The MCU may be configured to receive first input data from the interface and control the light source to produce a first optical indicator including one or more first parameters in response to the first input data; receive second input data and control the light source to produce a second optical indicator including one or more second parameters in response to the second input data; and receive third input data and turn off the light source in response to the third input data.

  • Patent number: 9863749
Abstract: A tape measure marking attachment for coupling to a tape measure and marking a surface beneath the tape measure at a desired location includes a hinged ring base defining an enclosing structure which can be selectively secured to the tape body of a conventional tape measure, a securing clip operative to fix the ring base in a closed position when in place on a conventional tape measure, and a marking member which extends down from the ring base and provides an integrated marking implement. When the tape measure marking attachment is in place on a conventional tape measure, a user can view the precise distance location through the top side of the ring base and press the tape measure marking attachment against a surface over which the tape measure is suspended to mark the surface at the exact distance measurement shown through the ring base.

  • Patent number: 9731568
Abstract: A method and system provide guided control of a hitching operation between a tow vehicle and a trailer. Dynamic pixel images are collected of the first and second hitch devices using a camera. The position of the second hitch device is determined using the controller. A first graphical overlay to the dynamic pixel images is displayed, with the first graphical overlay, e.g., guidelines, depicting a path of the tow vehicle. A distance between a calibrated position of the first hitch device and the determined position of the second hitch device is calculated and a second graphical overlay is displayed on zoomed-in images when the calculated distance is less than a calibrated distance. The second graphical overlay provides indicia of the positions of the first and second hitch devices. A control action executes when the second graphical overlay indicates substantial overlap or concentric alignment of the indicia of the respective positions.

  • Patent number: 5670955
Abstract: A thumbpad input device that enables a user to generate direction and speed by manipulating a round elastic pad. The underside of the pad is lined with a set of uniformly spaced contacts positioned in a circular pattern. Each contact is paired with a corresponding switch that is coupled to a circuit board. When a user presses down on the pad, one or more contacts close their respective switches. The pad contacts and switches are designed so that the number of closed switches varies with the magnitude of the force applied to the pad. The thumbpad input device has a micro controller that monitors the switches. It determines the most clockwise closed switch and the most counter-clockwise closed switch. Presumptively, these two closed switches define the two endpoints of an arc of all closed switches. These endpoints are then forwarded to a host processor.
