  • Patent number: 9741519
Abstract: This disclosure relates to various embodiments of lockout relay devices. In one embodiment, a lockout relay device may transition between a closed position and a lockout position in response to an action of a deck device. The lockout relay may further be configured to transition from the lockout position to the closed position only in response to one of a manual adjustment and a reset operation. A manual actuator may permit a manual transition of the lockout relay device from the closed position to the lockout position and from the lockout position to the closed position. The lockout relay device may remain in the lockout position until the occurrence of one of a manual adjustment and a reset operation.

  • Publication number: 20100323342
Abstract: The present invention relates to a micro-device for selective and non-invasive separation of particles in polydispersed suspensions through the strategic use of ultrasounds, laminar flow and standing wave effects in a channel produced in a chip by means of microtechnology. Said device is a resonant multi-layer system with a modified lambda quarter-type treatment channel, which enables the particles to be channeled and separated in a flow inside the substrate channel without touching the walls of the device, in order to avoid problems of adherence. Said micro-device can be used in the field of biomedicine and/or biotechnology for the separation and concentration of cells, preferably human cells, applicable to research and medical processes for diagnosis and treatment.

  • Patent number: 5986148
Abstract: An improved process for production of diisopropyl ether by conversion of hydrocarbon feedstock containing propene, propane and C.sub.2 -- light gas components. The overall process steps include, (optionally) prefractionating fresh feedstock containing propene, propane and C.sub.2 -- light gas components to provide a reactor feedstream rich in propene; contacting the feedstock and water in a catalytic reactor with acidic catalyst under olefin hydration and etherification conditions; and recovering from the catalytic reactor a liquid reactor effluent stream containing diisopropyl ether, isopropanol, water, unreacted propene, propane, oligomer and C.sub.2 -- light gas components. DIPE product containing C.sub.6 + oligomer is recovered by separating the liquid effluent stream in a stripper column, and extracting the DIPE-rich liquid with water. An improved separation process is employed for removing water to provide DIPE liquid product substantially free of water.

  • Patent number: 5085434
Abstract: An apparatus having a base with a plurality of magnetic members attached thereto, an arm connected to the base and extending upwardly above the base, and a rigid rod articulated to one end of the arm. The rigid rod has a magnet attached to the end of the rod opposite the arm. This magnet is interactive with the magnetic members of the base. The magnetic members are arranged in a circular pattern within the base. Each of the plurality of magnetic members extends upwardly in the base such that it has a common magnetic pole adjacent an upper surface of the base. A reverse polarity magnet is fastened within the base generally central of the circular pattern of the plurality of magnetic members. The arm has a ball joint that allows the rigid rod to be articulated to the arm. A magnet is affixed to the end of the dowel rod and has a polarity opposite the polarity of the plurality of magnetic members. Indicator pads are provided on the surface of the base adjacent to the plurality of magnetic members.

  • Patent number: 4563276
Abstract: Through the intentional introduction of dopants into a glass structure by utilizing a procedure such as is involved in the modified chemical vapor deposition technique and through subsequent drawing of this structure into capillary tubes, a body is formed that is useful for chromatographic processes. For example, the production of an alumina-doped tube allows selective chromatographic separation of unsaturated organic compounds.
