  • Patent number: 5809812
Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic lock with a deadbolt actuator. The actuator has, a casing, a deadbolt shaft protruding through the casing and an eccentric in said casing attached to said deadbolt shaft to rotate with the deadbolt shaft. A pair of pusher blades are connected to an interior handle supporting tube extending into said casing. The pusher blades are connected to a main bolt shaft to rotate said pusher blades relative to each other wherein the shaft rotates one of said pusher blades while said other pusher blade is not rotated. The pusher blades are in selective contact with the eccentric and move the eccentric from a first position wherein the deadbolt is retracted and to a second position wherein the deadbolt is extended to a locking position. The deadbolt is extended and retracted by either turning the interior thumb turn or turning an exterior handle in an appropriate direction.

  • Patent number: 5758528
Abstract: The present invention provides a system of locking the type of lock which has a cylinder constituted by a static body or barrel and by a rotatory body or core, equipped with a multiplicity of radial assemblies or key sequences. The lock contains at least one pair of tumblers mounted against a common impeller spring. The lock sequences of which each operate in relation to respective indentations formed by the tooth-like cutting of the active edge of a key blade. The cylinder for six or five key sequences all of which are spring-loaded. The key corresponding to the cylinder and having corresponding indentations. A removable plug or stop which is selectively placed or removed with respect to the opening at back, is situated farther to the rear of the channel for insertion of the key into the rotatable body or core. The position of the removable plug or stop being such as to displace a step or an amplitude of the distance between the axes of two successive key sequences.

  • Patent number: 5533369
Abstract: A safety lock and key includes a cylindrical stator and rotor having conventional spring-loaded moving rotor pins and moving stator pins. A first rotor pin/stator pin combination is at substantially 45 degrees to a first face of the key while a second rotor pin/stator pin combination is substantially perpendicular to a second face of the key on the opposite side. The centerlines of the rotor pin/stator pin combinations pass through the center of rotation of the rotor. A housing in the key contains a moving element and emerges from the first face of the key inclined at the same angle as the first rotor pin/stator pin combination. The housing also emerges from the second face of the key through a tapered bore that receives the second rotor pin/stator pin combination. A tapered head of the second rotor pin engages a rear portion of the moving element in the housing, thus engaging the moving element with the first rotor pin/stator pin combination.
