  • Publication number: 20240036159
Abstract: Techniques are described for a computing device to estimate pulse parameters. A method includes (a) receiving a digitized radio frequency (RF) signal as a digital input signal; (b) feeding the digital input signal into a plurality of input nodes of a trained Pulse Parameter Estimation Neural Network (PPENN), the PPENN having been trained using machine learning; (c) operating the trained PPENN to estimate a plurality of pulse parameters of a set of pulses embedded within a waveform of the digital input signal and to output the plurality of pulse parameters from the trained PPENN; and (d) processing the plurality of pulse parameters to further quantify the set of pulses. A system, apparatus, and computer program product for performing this method and similar methods are also described.

  • Publication number: 20230103064
Abstract: A method of conforming a periodic array to a surface is provided. The method comprises calculating, with a spatially-variant lattice algorithm, a pair of planar gratings across the surface, wherein the planar gratings are generated via reciprocal lattice vectors and summing the pair of planar gratings. Intersections produced by summing the gratings are scanned for maxima on the surface, and a periodic array of elements is located at the maxima on the surface. A normal vector is calculated at each maximum on the surface, and each element is rotated to match the direction of the respective normal vector at each maximum on the surface. The elements are then conformed to the surface via a shrink-wrap modifier operation.

  • Patent number: 10974443
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus for fabricating a three-dimensional circuit is provided. In an embodiment, a method for fabricating a three-dimensional circuit by an additive manufacturing process includes determining a shape, location, and spatial orientation of a number of components, a number of dielectrics, and a number of metal interconnects for the three dimensional circuit. The method also includes obtaining fused filament fabrication (FFF) specific actions for a number of dielectric materials and the metal interconnects. The method also includes separating tool paths of the dielectric material and the metal interconnects into individual tool paths for each of the dielectric materials and the metal interconnects. The method also includes removing specific actions for one of the individual toolpaths from an FFF specific action. The method also includes rewriting the one of the individual toolpaths into micro-dispensing actions to control a tool for micro-dispensing ink.

  • Patent number: 10625523
Abstract: An example braking system is described including a support structure which is pivotable about a first axis and a braking mechanism including a gear engagement mechanism which is fixed with respect to the first axis. The gear engagement mechanism may have a first and a second toothed portion, a first gear wheel rotatable about a second axis, and a second gear wheel rotatable about a third axis. The first gear may be connected to a first damping mechanism to damp pivoting of the support structure in a first direction when the first gear wheel is engaged with the first toothed portion. The second gear wheel may be connected to a second damping mechanism to damp pivoting of the support structure in a second direction when the second gear wheel is engaged with the second toothed portion. A print target holder system and a printer system are also described.
