  • Publication number: 20240101490
Abstract: A process of chemical cleavage of leather or skins containing chromium The process using sodium, potassium or calcium methylates (CH3O?) or ethylates (CH3CH2O?), producing chromium hydroxide (green paste), ammonium sulfate and liquid fertilizer. The chromium trioxide III (Cr2O3) obtained was used in the production of Fe—Cr alloy. The liquid fertilizer was applied to strawberry, violet and acerola crops, and can be applied to other types of crops. The fertilizer is also compatible with pesticides, being able to compose a composition containing fertilizer and pesticide or even used to obtain products containing fertilizers and pesticides, which allow application in a single step, exempting the process in the field A solid NPK fertilizer formulation obtained by combining N recovered from waste and homogeneously mixed with K and P salts.

  • Publication number: 20240043366
Abstract: Disclosed is a catalyst based on synthetic silica, in a heterogeneous catalysis method, to promote the effective conversion of residual glycerin, resulting from the production of biodiesel, into formic acid with high selectivity and stability, in a continuous flow reaction. The conversion of residual glycerin occurs by homogeneous catalysis, by the action of components remaining from the synthesis of biodiesel, with the formation of major compounds, such as formic acid, cyclic ethers and diglycerol, in continuous flow and reflow reactions. The reaction can also be carried out by adding sodium salts in the homogeneous catalytic conversion process of commercial glycerin. The process values the residual glycerin, without the need for purification before its transformation into products with high added value, but of renewable origin, adding more interest and potential.

  • Publication number: 20230240300
Abstract: Method for obtaining a material containing nanostructured reactive molecules based on niobium compounds, the products obtained, and the use thereof as a chemical/biological barrier on surfaces. The nanostructured hybrid material can be used as a component in cosmetic products, intensifying the efficiency and action time thereof. Furthermore, the material can be incorporated into different surfaces, including fabric, retaining its anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. The material can also be applied in the form of a gel or liquid spray. The niobium nanoparticles combined with quaternary ammonium compounds for sprays and with methylene blue colour to form sanitizing gels are highly efficient in deactivating coronavirus, with prolonged stability and activity.

  • Publication number: 20230080299
Abstract: A teeth whitening based on the generation of active oxygen in the form of oxygen radical species in situ and method for producing the whitening gel which has modified niobium compounds and its activity maximized if applied with hydrogen peroxide in low concentrations, with stabilization by a thickener. The whitening gel can be used without light treatment and with greater efficiency than commercial products and with a significant potential to reduce side effects. The whitening toothpaste and gels including modified niobium compounds associated with cations, the mechanisms of whitening action comes from electronic excitation, from the incidence of radiation on niobium compounds with cations, due to the action of the functional chemical groups present in the nanoparticles, even in the absence of light. In addition, the compounds can act as chemical whiteners, leading to a decrease in caries bacteria due to the oxidant functional groups in the nanoparticles.

  • Publication number: 20220080380
Abstract: The invention refers to the process of obtaining porous spheres based on CaO modified with carbon nanotubes for the capture of CO2. The invention also refers to the spheres obtained and their use to capture CO2 generated by a vehicular internal combustion engine, aiming to reduce the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20220009871
Abstract: The present invention describes a selective glycerol oxidation process comprising a set of steps. In the first step, a glycerol-containing raw material and an oxidizing agent are fed into a reaction vessel containing an iron oxide-containing catalyst. Subsequently, the glycerol-containing raw material, the oxidizing agent, and said iron oxide-containing catalyst are brought into contact at a temperature in the range of 100 to 350° C., wherein the glycerol-oxidation reaction occurs.

  • Patent number: 7840860
Abstract: A method and system is presented for correcting a data error in a primary Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) in a Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM). Each DRAM has a left half (for storing bits 0:3) and a right half (for storing bits 4:7). A determination is made as to whether the data error was in the left or right half of the primary DRAM. The half of the primary DRAM in which the error occurred is removed from service. All subsequent reads and writes for data originally stored in the primary DRAM's defective half are made to a half of a spare DRAM in the DIMM, while the DRAM's non-defective half continues to be used for subsequently storing data.
