  • Patent number: 11815215
Abstract: A pig routing insert or drain is used in various subsea systems having a block structure, e.g., block manifolds, with a plurality of perforated fluid passages. The insert generally includes a substantially unrestricted flow opening configured to allow substantially unrestricted fluid flow and passage of a cleaning pig, and a partially restricted opening having at least one pig blocking structure, in which the partially restricted opening is configured to allow substantially unrestricted fluid flow through the partially restricted opening whilst blocking the passage of the cleaning pig through the partially restricted opening. A method for manufacturing and installing the pig routing insert or drain in a machined block manifold includes positioning a manufactured pig routing insert at an intersection of first and second perforated fluid flow holes formed in a body of a structure and fastening the manufactured pig routing insert within the intersection in the body.

  • Publication number: 20190301617
Abstract: A directional gate type block valve includes a valve body, a gate type straddle, a transmission stem and four seats for process fluid sealing, wherein the transmission stem drives the gate type straddle allowing 3 position options for gate type straddle, directing or even completely sealing the system. This directional gate type block valve provides the exploration system the simplification of using only one equipment for directing the process fluid, besides allowing its use in a wide range of permissible working pressures. Other advantages due to its simple geometry are given by the low cost of manufacture, assembly and test of the directional gate type block valve.

  • Patent number: 8875692
Abstract: A regulation valve having a valve body with a gas inlet. Housed within the valve body is a rotary regulatory body having a first inlet orifice corresponding to a first minimum flow of a first type of gas and a second inlet orifice corresponding to a second minimum flow of a second type of gas. The first and second inlet orifices are angularly displaced so that when the regulatory body assumes a first angular position within the regulatory body the first inlet orifice faces the gas inlet and so that when the regulatory body assumes a second angular position within the regulatory body the second inlet orifice faces the gas inlet. The regulation valve includes first and second sets of cooperating features that are capable of limiting rotation of the regulatory body to the first and second angular positions, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7963959
Abstract: An apparatus and methods for treating lesions on skin are presented. The apparatus collects information about a lesion and can automatically determine a course of treatment for the lesion. The device can include a controller that positions the nozzle proximate to a surface region of the lesion and automatically dispenses a pulse of the cryogenic fluid from the nozzle. The controller then positions the nozzle proximate to another surface region of the lesion and automatically dispenses a pulse of the cryogenic fluid from the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 7945312
Abstract: A multisensor probe for continuous real-time tissue identification. The multisensor probe includes a tissue penetrating needle, a plurality of sensors useful in characterizing tissue and a position sensor to measure the depth of the needle into the tissue being diagnosed. The sensors include but are not limited to an optical scattering and absorption spectroscopy sensor, an optical coherence domain reflectometry sensor, an electrical impedance sensor, a temperature sensor, a pO2 sensor, a chemical sensor and other sensors useful in identifying tissue. The sensors may take the form of a plurality of optical fibers extending through said needle. A retractable sheath may be disposed around the distal section of the needle to protect the needle when not in use. The sheath retracts when the probe is inserted into tissue and the position of the sheath relative to the needle may be measured to determine the needle's depth. Systems and methods for tissue identification are also provided.

  • Patent number: 7769800
Abstract: The present invention relates to a digital system integration process through a virtual server (5), which comprises a process that distributes instances of message management and processing application according to the number of processors (9) present in each server (10). A message reader component (2) removes the message from one of the input queues (1) and verifies if it is a valid message. Then the messages are stored in the internal processing queue (3) according to the environment configurations and the application server (4) marks the message with the respective virtual server (5). The application server (4) removes the message from the processing queue (3) and delivers the message to the client application (6). Finally, the message is validated and, after it is processed, excluded from the database (8).

  • Publication number: 20100154777
Abstract: A regulation valve having a valve body, a rotary regulatory body and a drive shaft attached to the regulatory body. The rotary regulatory body is housed in the valve body and has a plurality of inlet orifices that may be positioned to face a gas inlet by rotating the regulatory body by use of the drive shaft. A first inlet orifice corresponds to a first minimum flow of a first type of gas, and a second inlet orifice corresponds to a second minimum flow of a second type of gas. The first and second inlet orifices situated in the regulatory body at different angular positions. The drive shaft and the valve body have cooperating features that limit the angular rotation of the regulatory body to a second angular position where the second inlet orifice is aligned to face the gas inlet. Attached to, or incorporated into the regulation valve, is a stop element which can be arranged in an active position or in a rest position.
