A suggested change is iteratively selected from a first list of suggested changes. A second list of modified suggested changes is generated by processing each selected suggested change in the first list of suggested changes. The processing comprises marking the selected suggested change for including or excluding the summary. If the selected suggested change is marked for including the summary, the processing further comprises at least one of combining the selected suggested change with a previously processed suggested change to form one of the modified suggested changes for including in the second list, and truncating the selected suggested change to form one of the modified suggested changes for including in the second list. The second list of modified suggested changes is provided as the summary of suggested changes.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described to notify an author that suggested content is available. An author-assistance tool is instantiated with a document processor to perform research to suggest content for a document being edited at the document processor. A user interaction relating to a document is received via the document processor, and the author-assistance tool generates suggested content for the document when the author has intent for content suggestion or the document has a document type that is on a list of document types for which a content suggestion should be made. The author-assistance tool then determines that the suggested content meets a pre-determined quality threshold, and generates, via the user interface of the document processor, a notification to the author that the suggested content is available.

Abstract: A document editor may manage suggested edits in a collaborative document. The document editor may instantiate a document model associated with the collaborative document. When a first editing suggestion is received for the collaborative document, a first suggestion command is associated with the first editing suggestion based on a type of the first editing suggestion and a type of the document model. The document editor may apply the first suggestion command on the document model to present the first editing suggestion within the collaborative document. When an acceptance indication for the first editing suggestion is received, the document model can be updated with the first suggestion command in response to the received acceptance indication.

The destination application retrieves instructions to determine a destination child value of the property and uses the instructions to determine the destination child value. The destination child value is consistent with the value which would have been determined had the copied element been pasted into the source document.

The client computer segments the block of text into a plurality of text segments, where the segmenting includes searching the block of text starting at a defined location for a first text segment that matches any of the plurality of regular expressions, adding the first text segment to the plurality of text segments, and updating the defined location to be located at the end of the first text segment within the block of text. The client computer then constructs a layout of the block of text using the plurality of text segments.
