  • Patent number: 12243336
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for improving fraud detection in the context of a user submitting, via a client device, a photo of a photo ID and a selfie taken during a step of the verification process. A machine learning model may be trained to generate biometric data signals from the selfie. As examples, the biometric data signals generated from the selfie can include an estimated age, gender, hair color, and eye color. The biometric data generated from the selfie may be compared with biometric data listed on the photo ID as an aid to identifying potential identity fraud. In some implementations, a facial filter corresponding to a map of a set of facial measurements of the photo in the photo ID may be compared with the facial measurements of the selfie.

  • Patent number: 11783017
Abstract: Computer systems and methods are provided for transmitting authorization information to an image capturing device. A computing system receives, from an image capturing device, captured image data that includes a first facial image and an image of a document that includes a second facial image. The first facial image and the second facial image are included a single image frame. The captured image data is analyzed to determine a first portion of the captured image data that corresponds to the first facial image and a second portion of the captured image data that corresponds to the second facial image. The first portion of the captured image data is compared with the second portion of the captured image data. In accordance with a determination that the first facial image and the second facial image meet matching criteria, authorization information is transmitted to the image capturing device.

  • Patent number: 11558377
Abstract: Computer systems and methods are provided for receiving a first authentication request that includes an image of an identification document. A risk value is determined using one or more information factors that correspond to the authentication request. A validation user interface that includes the image of the identification document is displayed. A risk category that corresponds to the risk value is determined using at least a first risk threshold. In accordance with a determination that the risk value corresponds to a first risk category, a visual indication that corresponds to the first risk category is displayed. In accordance with a determination that the risk value corresponds to a second risk category, a visual indication that corresponds to the second risk category is displayed.

  • Patent number: 10977356
Abstract: Computer systems and methods are provided for performing authentication of a user. A computer system receives, from a camera on an electronic device distinct from the computing system: a single captured image that includes a first facial image of a user and an image of a document that includes a second facial image of the user, and a third facial image of the user captured at a different time from the first facial image. The computer system determines whether the first facial image and the second facial image meet matching criteria. The computer system determines, using the third facial image, that the user is moving. And, in accordance with determinations that the first facial image and the second facial image meet the matching criteria and that the user is moving, the computer system transmits authorization information for the user to the electronic device.
