  • Patent number: 9139401
Abstract: An elevator system includes at least one elevator, at least one call input device and a call controller. The call input device transmits a call to the call controller. For a transmitted normal operation signal, at least one elevator car of an assigned elevator is activated to drive to the call input floor by at least one elevator controller of the assigned elevator. In a peak-time mode of the elevator system, at least one main operation signal is transmitted to at least one elevator. For a main operation signal transmitted to an elevator, at least one elevator car of said elevator is activated to drive between at least two main operation floors by at least one elevator controller of said elevator.

  • Publication number: 20150158694
Abstract: In an elevator system using multiple-deck elevator cars (130, 132), an elevator passenger (154) travels between a floor in a first zone (170) in a building (120) and a floor in a second zone (172) in the building (120). The passenger (154) travels first from one of the zones (170, 172) to a ground floor lobby (100, 101). Within a given amount of time after arriving at the lobby (100, 101), the identified passenger (154) is allowed to place an elevator call for an elevator traveling to the other zone (170, 172). Even if the call is for a destination floor not usually served from the particular ground floor lobby (100, 101), the passenger (154) is allowed to travel to the destination floor as requested.

  • Patent number: 9045314
Abstract: A method for enabling the use of an elevator system by disabled persons includes detecting at least one position change of a user using at least one sensor, said position change being in the form of at least one signal and at least one reference signal. The signal is then compared to the reference signal. At lease one signal status change is generated when at least one predefined comparison result is fulfilled. For the generated signal state change, the elevator system is at least partially brought to an operating mode enabling the use thereof by disabled persons.

  • Publication number: 20150090534
Abstract: A method of controlling an elevator installation with several elevator cages per elevator shaft, wherein a destination call to a desired destination story is actuated on a call input story by at least one passenger and at least one most favorable call allocation for transport of the passenger by the elevator cage from a start story to a destination story, is determined for the destination call by at least one destination call control. If at least one disadvantage parameter is set, at least one disadvantage-free call allocation for transport of the passenger by the elevator cage from a start story to a destination story is determined by the destination call control, in which it is possible the start story and call input story or the destination story and desired destination correspond.

  • Patent number: 8905195
Abstract: An elevator system having a double or multiple elevator cabins per elevator shaft can be controlled using a method, wherein at least one destination call is entered or at least one identification code is received on at least one call entry floor, said destination call or identification code designating an arrival floor; wherein at least one trip by at least one elevator cabin of the double or multiple elevator cabin from a departure floor to an arrival floor is determined for the destination call or identification code; wherein before determining a trip, it is determined whether at least one situation-specific parameter is fulfilled; and if said situation-specific parameter is fulfilled, at least one situation-compatible call assignment is determined for a trip having a floor difference of zero between the call entry floor and the departure floor or having a floor difference of zero between the destination floor and the arrival floor.

  • Publication number: 20140097046
Abstract: Using a position detection device, a position of a user in a building area outside of an elevator system is detected. It is determined, after the user has entered an elevator car, that the user is not authorized to travel to a destination floor designated by a destination for the user. As a result of the determination, the elevator car is moved to an area other than the destination floor.

  • Publication number: 20130056312
Abstract: Energy efficiency settings for an elevator installation can be determined based on, for example, a start floor for a trip, a destination floor for a trip, user identity information and/or a condition associated with one or more users. In at least some cases, portions of a building (e.g., one or more floors) are associated with one or more energy settings. In further cases, an occupant of a building is associated with one or more elevator energy settings. Some embodiments can be used with an escalator installation.

  • Patent number: 8348021
Abstract: A method, an elevator system control unit, computer-readable media and an elevator installation for allocation of a user to the elevator installation, which is provided with a plurality of elevator cars and with a destination call control unit, wherein the user lodges a destination call at the destination control unit using a communications unit. The destination call control unit determines a group of elevator cars for serving the destination call and makes the group known to the user by the communications unit. The user selects an elevator car from the group by the communications unit. In addition, information for guiding the user to the selected elevator car is communicated to the user by the communications unit.

  • Patent number: 8230979
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for transporting people in a building using an elevator installation (10) having at least one elevator cage (11). The elevator cage (11) is entered by people on at least one first or one second access floor (S1, S2). In order to increase the transport efficiency, at least one target floor (S3, S4, S5, S6, S7) is associated with each access floor (S1, S2) in a fixed manner, in such a way that the elevator cage (11) travels from the first access floor (S1) to the associated first target floor (S4, S5) and from the second access floor (S2) to the associated second target floor (S5, S6, S7).

  • Patent number: 8210321
Abstract: A method and system for transporting people in a building using an elevator installation having at least one elevator cage determines a destination story based on the movement direction of people on an access story. The movement direction of one or more persons on an access story is detected using a movement direction sensor. The destination story may be based on detected movement and the access story on which the movement is detected. The elevator cage is entered by people on at least one first access floor (S1, S2). In order to increase the transport efficiency at least one target floor (S3, S4, S5, S6, S7) is associated with the access floor (S1, S2) in a fixed manner, in such a way that the elevator cage (11) travels from the first access floor (S1, S2) to the target floor (S3, S4, S5, S6, S7) associated therewith.
