Publication number: 20240044076Abstract: A net is formed by joining cables which are over-knitted with cord. A cable may be made of wire or stainless-steel cable. A composite cable is a cable that is over-knitted with cord to form a composite cable. The cord may be made of fibrous material and in some embodiments is made of aramid fibers. Adjacent composite cables are joined at regular intervals to form a net. In some embodiments, composite cables are composed of cable with an over-knitted cord, inter-knitted at junctions that are spaced at regular intervals to form a net. The individual cables are over-knitted with cord and the junctions are formed as the over-knitted cords are inter-knitted.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2023Publication date: February 8, 2024Inventors: Gerhard Komenda, Lukas Scheurer

Patent number: 11746453Abstract: An attachment (24) for a sewing machine (10) to provide simultaneous sewing and sealing of a seam comprises a reel (23) for dispensing a strip of adhesive thermoplastic polymer (25) between fabric members (7,9) to be sewn. A plurality of heated driven rollers (40, 42, 44) opposed to heated idler rollers (50) having a continuous belt (52) thereover collectively exert heat and pressure on the seam, melting the polymer strip (25) so as to seal the seam. Thread (17) having been treated with adhesive thermoplastic polymer may be employed to seal the punctures in the fabric made by the sewing machine's needle (19). The driven rollers are driven in synchronization with the operation of the sewing machine and are engaged with and withdrawn from the seam responsive to operator command.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2022Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Assignee: Seco Systems, LLCInventors: John Tallmadge, William Vahle, Lukas Scheurer, Roxanne Ferreiro, Manuel Avila

Publication number: 20230055632Abstract: An extendable grip for a mobile device includes a base configured to couple with a mobile device or a case of the mobile device. The plurality of elastic elements are coupled with the base at a first end. The plurality of elastic elements are coupled with a top at a second end. The plurality of elastic elements are configured to provide an expansion force that biases the top away from the base towards a neutral position when in the collapsed position. The base and the top are configured to produce a magnetic force that biases the top and the base towards one another. The extendable grip has the neutral position and a collapsed position. A distance between the top and the base is greater in the neutral position than in the collapsed position. The magnetic force is stronger than the expansion force in the retracted position.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2022Publication date: February 23, 2023Inventors: Jacob Epstein, Lukas Scheurer
