    Abstract: A brush roll configured to support a material web, in particular a web of corrugated board, comprises a roll core and arcuate shells, which are each arranged on the roll core and comprise bristles arranged on the outside. The brush roll further has fastening assemblies configured to fasten the arcuate shells to the roll core. Each of the fastening assemblies has a fastening body, which is locally fastened to the roll core, which locally fastens at least one of the arcuate shells to the roll core, which has a foot part, connected to the roll core, with a bottom, and a head part, connected to the foot part, with a lower side facing the roll core, said lower side forming at least one lower wedge face for engagement with at least one of the arcuate shells.
