Publication number: 20250131908Abstract: A system and method for removal of unwanted vibration noise are provided. The system may detect, by a microphone(s) of the system, at least one audio signal including audio content output from at least one speaker and other audio data from one or more other sources, or caused by the one or more other sources. The other audio data may include determined undesirable vibration noise causing distortion of the at least one audio signal. The system may determine, by at least one sensor of the system, a subset of the other audio data based in part on determining at least one motion of a user of the system, or motion of one or more other users. The system may remove, or reduce, the undesirable vibration noise from the at least one audio signal to enable output of sound associated with a modification of the at least one audio signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2024Publication date: April 24, 2025Inventors: Morteza Khaleghimeybodi, John Raymond Brodie, Luke Allen, Andrew Jackson Stockton X, Nils Thomas Fritiof Lunner

Publication number: 20250105596Abstract: Disclosed examples include Coherent Ring Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (CR-VCSEL). Examples includes Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers with a containing a Coherent Ring Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser stack (CR-VCSEL stack) consisting of a first mirror layer, an active layer, an emission aperture, and a second mirror layer, under a top metal layer within a closed ring. The CR-VCSEL has a closed ring structure. The emission aperture width of the closed ring is such that the closed ring supports a single transverse optical mode, it but supports multiple circumferential optical modes around the ring within the closed ring geometry. The closed ring may have a length of from microns to millimeters. The transverse width of the closed ring and length of the closed ring may be tailored to control the CR-VCSEL power output, degree of coherence, and laser beam emission pattern.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2024Publication date: March 27, 2025Inventors: Luke Allen Graham, Jimmy Alan Tatum, James Kenneth Guenter, Pritha Khurana

Patent number: 10104443Abstract: Systems and methods for providing estimates of duration of media content requested by a user are disclosed. The estimates of the duration may be updated as advertisements are identified and/or updated for insertion in media content signals to be provided to a client device of the user. The advertisements may be targeted to the user from an inventory of available advertisements based on a variety of factors. While a session is active to provide the client device with the user requested media content new duration estimates corresponding to updates to advertisements targeted for delivery to the user may be provided to the client device via messages and/or metadata. In some cases, this information may be provided by messages sent responsive to a trick play request form the client device. In other cases, an asynchronous message carrying updated duration information may be sent to the client device.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2014Date of Patent: October 16, 2018Assignee: Cox Communications, Inc.Inventors: Ray Killick, Luke Allen Warren
