Abstract: The disclosed technology relates generally to systems for integrating commercial off-the-shelf devices to produce a simple, contained, and reconfigurable sensing, computation, and interaction platform. The systems provide a cost-effective and modular interaction platform. The commercial off-the-shelf devices are arranged such that it is possible to change the components or the orientation of the components used without having to re-design each entire system. The system enables placement of physical safeguards on or near the commercial off-the-shelf devices so as to protect user privacy. The system can include but is not limited to a sensor, computation system, display, and communications and power systems.
