  • Publication number: 20110197668
Abstract: An apparatus comprised of a plurality of engagement structures independently movable along a longitudinal axis to initially engage a mid-foot region of a foot is described. A center structure or a first set of engagement structures engage the foot in a mid-foot region, and one or more peripheral engagement structures engage the plantar surface in regions surrounding the mid-foot region independent from the structure(s) engaging the mid-foot region. Positional information about the engagement structures is obtained, and a surface map from the positional information is constructed, to determine a profile or contour for an orthotic device in which the foot is in a restored bone state.

  • Publication number: 20060138733
Abstract: A retrofitable or OEM installed vehicle suspension system at least one sensor (18) capable resolving pitch and/or roll of a vehicle. The sensor (18) output is used to control wheel position with respect to the vehicle by means of at least one wheel actuator (14). Thus, the suspension and wheel position is dynamically, significantly adjusted based on the irregularities of the terrain being traversed or the pitch and roll of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20050109168
Abstract: A hand manipulated wrench is provided which includes a handle assembly which transmits part of the force applied to the handle to close the jaws. After the force on the handle has been released, the closing force will also be released. The wrench may be designed to close only when the jaws are rotated in a particular direction or may be designed to close when the wrench is rotated in either direction.
