Patent number: 12218982Abstract: A cloud security control platform and method enforces security controls across multiple cloud environments, services and disparate teams while providing a frictionless “Permissions on Demand” mechanism for approvals and exceptions. In contrast to the prior art, security is evaluated on a permission by permission basis, with the default being that all permissions are denied and then only given to a particular identity on an as-needed basis. This approach reduces the security risks associated with the vast capabilities available in Public Cloud environments and permits an organization that uses the platform to grant access, approve exceptions and delegate approvals with the appropriate compliance.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2024Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Sonrai Security Inc.Inventors: William Alexander Bird, Ben Alexander Wuest, Matthew Aaron Rogers Carle, Brad Joseph Peters, Gregory Andrew Davis, Joshua Luke Laver, Veranika Hadun, Carter James MacLennan, Dasharath Parasottam Chavda, Christopher Glen Fredericks

Patent number: 11507549Abstract: A data normalization system receives a first string and a second string that are ordered according to an initial string ordering. The data normalization system analyzes, the first string and the second string based on a list of known character sets included in surnames, yielding an analysis, and determines, based on the analysis, that a set of characters in the second string matches a known character set included in the list of known character sets included in surnames. In response to determining that the set of characters in the second string matches a known character set included in the list of known character sets included in surname, the data normalization system orders the first string and the second string according to an updated string ordering.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2019Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventor: Luke Davis

Patent number: 9805073Abstract: A data normalization system that normalizes data that includes user names is disclosed herein. The data normalization system converts, using a metaphone algorithm, a first string into a first metaphone string, and a second string into a second metaphone string. The data normalization system searches, based on the first metaphone string and the second metaphone string, a name index including a listing of metaphone strings representing common names and probabilities that the common names are either a given name or a surname. The data normalization system determines, based on searching the name index, a confidence score indicating a confidence level that the first string represents the given name and the second string represents the surname. The data normalization system determines that the confidence score meets or exceeds a threshold confidence score, and in response, determines that the first string represents the given name and the second string represents the surname.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2016Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventor: Luke Davis

Patent number: 8983018Abstract: A method and apparatus for repairing and/or reinforcing a Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) jet pump riser pipe. The repair includes attaching two collars to the riser pipe using match drilling to drill holes through the collars and the riser pipe and plugging the holes with expandable plugs. Support columns are attached to the collars. Brace supports are slideably attached to the support columns. Gaps between each brace support and its respective collar are then narrowed as ratchet bolts may apply a force that pulls downward on an upper collar and pulls upward on a lower collar, thereby exerting a compression force on the riser pipe. A clamp assembly may also be located between the two collars that applies a hoop force on the riser pipe.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2010Date of Patent: March 17, 2015Assignee: GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas LLCInventors: Bruce J.
