  • Publication number: 20250032260
Abstract: An apparatus for testing cardiac devices comprises an inflow and an outflow chamber, a mount for supporting a prosthetic valve, and a fluid driving device operable to vary a pressure differential of a fluid between the inflow chamber and the outflow chamber in repeating cycles. The apparatus can comprise a bypass valve to modulate pressure characteristics across the prosthetic valve, reservoirs to maintain a pressure inside the apparatus, and compliance elements to modulate pressure characteristics in the apparatus. Methods for operating the apparatus include controlling the bypass valve to control testing characteristics across the prosthetic device, and methods for monitoring the pressure inside of the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20240122626
Abstract: A fixation device includes a body having a first axial end and a second axial end defining a longitudinal axis. The body has a longitudinal bore therein, and a longitudinal slot in a first side of the body extending laterally to the bore. A mounting bracket is connected to the first axial end at a second side opposite the slot and extends outward therefrom. The mounting bracket is configured to be mounted to a first structure. A support member is retained in the bore and is configured to move longitudinally in the bore. The support member protrudes outward from the first side of the body to support a second structure a longitudinal distance from the first structure. A lead screw engages a threaded hole in the base whereby rotation of the lead screw moves the support member to adjust the longitudinal distance between the first and second structures.

  • Patent number: 10807216
Abstract: A clamp for use with an impact tool; the clamp having a nut for use with impact tools includes a screw on top, a safety handle, and a hole for carabiner clip. In use, a user adjusts the top screw to a length option desired, such that it doesn't slide onto object to be clamped. The clamp further comprises a grip on the safety handle. The clamp provides faster and more efficient use when using an impact tool.

  • Patent number: 8359075
Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing frame, a transparent display, and a movable element. The transparent display is connected to the housing frame. The transparent display includes a front side and a rear side opposite the front side. The movable element is connected to the housing frame. The rear side of the transparent display is configured to be directly exposed to ambient light when the movable element is in a first position relative to the transparent display. The rear side of the transparent display is blocked from being directly exposed to the ambient light when the movable element is in a second different position relative to the transparent display.
