Publication number: 20230083013Abstract: A method to manufacture, on one or more production or manufacturing lines, an integrated roofing product, such as a roofing panel or roofing plank. A blank panel of engineered wood is cut or sawn into a plurality of raw planks or raw panels, each with an outer face, an inner face, a top edge, and a bottom edge. Each raw plank or panel is then processed by cutting or routing a profile into the top edge, the bottom edge, or both; affixing a gasket seal to the profile in the top edge or the bottom edge, or both; coating at least some or all of the outer face with a silicone-based or silicone-containing coating; applying a mix of granules and/or sand to the silicone-based coating while wet; and curing the coated plank or panel. A plurality of panels or planks can then be installed on a roofing structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2022Publication date: March 16, 2023Inventors: JARROD KEVIN LINE, LUKE MICHAS, SARATH VEGA-GUTIERREZ, FELICIA FANCHER, RYLIE BARLING, WILLIAM H. Publication number: 20150285667Abstract: A sweetener dispensing system is provided herein. The system includes a support stand, and a plurality of sweetener dispensers supported by the support stand. Each of the sweetener dispensers comprises a canister for holding a granular material such as an artificial sweetener or a natural granular sweetener. A funnel is disposed below the bottom end and of the canister. Each dispenser has its own lever, and a lower spout defining an opening below the funnel. Each dispenser is configured such that rotation of the lever causes a bore of a respective cylinder to at least partially align with an opening in the bottom end of the corresponding canister and with the opening in the corresponding lower spout so that sweetener may be gravitationally dispensed from the dispenser. A method of dispensing a sweetener is also provided herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2014Publication date: October 8, 2015Inventors: Luke Michas, Brandon Heller

Patent number: 8256610Abstract: A golf bag is provided including a carrying system having two members attached to a surface of the golf bag and arranged to form an “X” pattern. A casing is affixed to the golf bag and defines a recess in a surface of the golf bag. A stand system is mounted in the recess. The stand system includes a pair of attached pivotal members and a center rod assembly disposed between the pivotal members. The stand system further includes a spring mounted to an upper end of the center rod assembly, whereby compression and release of the spring cause the pivotal members to pivot between extended and retracted positions.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2006Date of Patent: September 4, 2012Assignee: Dynamic Brands, LLCInventors: Luke Michas, Christopher Piedra

Publication number: 20050091732Abstract: A face shield assembly including a frame and a removable protective element supported by the frame is disclosed herein. The protective element is removably supported in an opening of the frame by a channel, without the use of fasteners. Because the face shield lacks fasteners, it is easy to remove and replace, even with the use of gloves. In one embodiment, the frame is molded as a single, unitary member and includes an upper detent, a lower detent and a channel formed between a lip and the frame that receives an edge of the protective element in order to hold the protective element within the frame. In another embodiment, the frame is pivotally supported on a support structure such that the frame can be moved between an upper (out of use) and a lower (in use) position, and may further include an adjustable mounting member so that the frame can be selectively spaced relative to the user's head.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2003Publication date: May 5, 2005Inventors: Jeremy Howard, Luke Michas, Richard Canavan, Raymond Curcl, Laurent Froissard, Philip Johnson, Erica Osley

Patent number: 6276358Abstract: A ventilation system for a cooking appliance includes one or more slidable vent hoods arranged in a tabletop extending above a heating surface of a cooking appliance to exhaust gaseous byproduct developed during a cooking operation performed on the heating surface. The tabletop is vertically adjustable relative to the heating surface in order to alter the distance between each vent hood and the heating surface. Each vent hood can be retracted within the tabletop or extended to a position disposed directly, vertically above at least a portion of the heating surface. Preferably, a pair of adjacent vent hoods are provided, with each vent hood opening into a common exhaust manifold formed in the tabletop. The tabletop is preferably mounted through multiple pillars which are connected to a vertical adjusting mechanism. One of the pillars is preferably provided with an elongated duct for directing exhaust gases from the manifold to a remote exhaust location.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1999Date of Patent: August 21, 2001Assignee: Maytag CorporationInventors: George G.
