A choker plate has two sides between which a plurality of openings extend openings that extend between the opposing sides. A line portion loops through the openings in the choker plate to secure the choker plate to the line outside the noose. A fastener fixed to the other end of the line is releasably fixable to the noose.

In the unclasped configuration the first clasp element and the second clasp element are disposed apart from each other. In the clasped configuration the base is disposed on a first side of the rim, the shaft extends through the aperture, and the handle is disposed on a second side of the rim.
