    Abstract: The invention is a phenol-formaldehyde resin bonded grinding wheel which has grinding characteristics like that of shellac bonded grinding wheels. This soft, mild grinding action results from the basic phenol-formaldehyde resin initially containing from 0.5 to 2.5% by weight of hexamethylenetetramine, when used in conjunction with a material such as liquid one-stage phenol-formaldehyde resin, or furfural as the bond pick-up agent.
