  • Patent number: 6879296
Abstract: A slot antenna comprising: a first and second boards each having an edge attached to respective opposite edges of a center board to form an essentially C-shaped open-ended channel having an inner surface and an outer surface; the center board having a slot for radiating signals defined in an electrically conductive layer bonded to an outer surface thereof and an electrically conductive feed line bonded to an inner surface thereof; the slot having a drive point being a portion of the feed line undercrossing the slot between opposite edges of the slot; the first and second boards each having an electrically conductive layer bonded to an outer surface thereof to reduce nulls, thereby providing an essentially omni-directional radiation pattern for the slot; and, a connector for coupling the signals to the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20030134596
Abstract: The invention introduced in this patent application introduces a new Bluetooth Access Point, which applies the “sector idea” to its pico cell network and divides a pico cell into four (4) (but not limited to 4) pico sector of 90 degree. The access point thus implemented is denoted as Sectored Access Point. The Sectored Access Point utilizes only ONE microprocessor to communicate with four Bluetooth modules via either an embedded USB host controller with four ports to drive respective Bluetooth modules or UART interface with also ports to interface with respective Bluetooth modules. Each Bluetooth radio module acts as a master in its respective pico sector and takes care of up to seven (7) simultaneous Bluetooth enabled devices (called slaves in this cell). Therefore, the Access Point in this case can provide 28 users to access Internet at the same time, which is fourfold of any commercially available Bluetooth Access Point.

  • Patent number: 6525694
Abstract: A high gain printed loop antenna comprises a first and second loop arranged symmetrically about a feed network, wherein each of the loops include pairs of substantially parallel radiation sections which when excited in phase from the feed network improves the gain of the antenna. Each of the parallel radiation sections are joined by patch elements such that the width of the patch elements is greater than the width of other portions of the loop. Thus, the patch elements allow for an increased variance in the path of a surface current through the loop.

  • Patent number: 6377227
Abstract: A printed antenna comprising a dielectric substrate, dipole elements formed on a surface of the substrate, a matching network for coupling a driving point to the antenna elements, whereby common mode currents are minimized thereby minimizing the antenna performance degradation.

  • Publication number: 20020027527
Abstract: A high gain printed loop antenna comprises a first and second loop arranged symmetrically about a feed network wherein each of the loops include pairs of somewhat parallel radiation sections which may be excited in phase from the feed network to thereby improve the gain of the antenna.
