  • Publication number: 20230400054
Abstract: A board structure having articulated joints and a splice object having articulated joints are provided. The board structure includes a first board and a second board. The first board has a first holding slot and a first articulated arm, and the second board has a second holding slot and a second articulated arm. The first articulated arm is L-shaped or T-shaped and is accommodated in the second holding slot. The second articulated arm is L-shaped or T-shaped and is accommodated in the first holding slot. An articulated seam is formed between the first board and the second board, and the first board and the second board are positioned at various angles relative to each other along the articulated seam. The splice object includes multiple ones of the first boards and second boards.

  • Patent number: 10885710
Abstract: In various embodiments, computerized methods and systems for dynamically updating a fully-immersive virtual environment based on tracked physical environment data. A computing device coupled to a HMD receives sensor data from a variety of sensors. The computing device can generate a virtual scene based on the received sensor data, whereby the virtual scene includes at least a portion of a virtual path that corresponds to at least a portion of a navigable path determined based on the received sensor data. The computing device can modify the virtual scene include a virtual obstruction that corresponds to a physical object detected based on additional sensor data received from the sensors. The modified virtual scene is presented to the user for display, so that the user can safely traverse the physical environment while staying fully-immersed in the virtual environment.

  • Patent number: 10416769
Abstract: A computing system including a head mounted display device with a processor and an associated display is provided. A sensor in communication with the processor is configured to detect a movable body part of a user. A plurality of physical haptic feedback structures are configured to be contacted by the movable body part. The processor is configured to operate the display device, receive data from the sensor, and determine an intended virtual target of the movable body part and a target physical structure having haptic characteristics corresponding to the intended virtual target. Also, the processor is configured to compute a path in real three-dimensional space from the movable body part to the target physical structure, compute a spatial warping pattern, and display via the display the virtual space and the virtual reality representation according to the spatial warping pattern.
