    Abstract: A brightness enhancement film of a backlight module includes a substrate and a plurality of microstructure units. The substrate has an edge having an extension direction. The microstructure units are jointed on a surface of the substrate with the junction areas. The junction areas have different extension directions and different extension lengths. The extension directions and extension lengths of the junction areas are combined to form a resultant vector. An included angle is formed between a direction of the resultant vector and the extension direction of the edge of the substrate, and a range of the included angle is from negative 45 degree to positive 45 degree.

The base has a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other. The brightness enhancement layer has a plurality of brightness enhancement columns and a plurality of diffusion particles. The brightness enhancement columns are disposed on the first surface. The diffusion particles are dispersed in the brightness enhancement columns. The diffusion layer has a plurality of granular patterns disposed on the second surface in an irregular arrangement. Light beams emitted from the light source pass through the diffusion layer, the base and the brightness enhancement layer in proper order.

    Abstract: A backlight module is used to supply a light beam to a liquid crystal panel. The backlight module includes an optical film set. The optical film set includes a diffusion film for diffusing the light beam; a prism sheet for receiving the light beam from the diffusion film and propagating the light beam to the liquid crystal panel. The prism sheet is close to the liquid crystal panel, and has a plurality of projections, whose cross section is in cone-shape, disposed on a surface thereof adjacent to the liquid crystal panel. Some of the projections have a plurality of defects.

    Abstract: A high brightness diffusion plate for homogenizing light beams provided by at least one light source of a backlight module to a display panel is provided, which includes a diffusion layer, a transmittance layer, and a plurality of connecters. The transmittance layer is disposed above the diffusion layer, and the connecters are connected between the diffusion layer and the transmittance layer. Since the high brightness diffusion plate of the present invention is an integrated structure and is stronger, the present invention is not only easier for being assembled inside the backlight module, but also makes the light source provided by the backlight module being more homogeneous.
