Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method and apparatus for generating a geographic area heat map. In one embodiment, the method comprises: receiving linked data from one or more users, the linked data including service feature data associated with the one or more users and location service data associated with the one or more users; extracting candidate users from the one or more users based on the linked data and a geographic area to be identified; determining a user distribution density based on the linked data, wherein the user distribution density include a total number of the candidate users in the geographical area to be identified; and displaying the user distribution density of the geographical area to be identified.
